Post subject:  New AU Layout
We had a question like this, somewhere, a while back. But that was before we knew that we were going to change the layout. As it is now a definite plan in the works, we would like to know what the new colors should be.

There are only basic colors listed. The person (or persons) making the layout will take that basic color and construct something with varying shades. (So don't worry about it just being a solid block of yellow.) We are also hoping to keep the blue skin as an option for the forum, for those of you who aren't sick of it. ;)

Please vote in the poll! It's the only definite way of getting the idea of what to make. Feel free to leave comments with more specific discussion.

You may make it any colour you like. I trust you talented people will come up with something prettiful no matter what you choose. :hug:

My only wish is to keep something Arwen. :P

I like the idea of green as well. Even though the layout right before this blue one was green I believe. But what if we did a shade more along the lines of Arwen's dress at Aragorn's coronation?

It's been that long I have no memory of using a green layout. :lol:

That would be a very nice shade of green. Cool and bright without being like lime. :-)

EDIT: Anyone else having trouble seeing all of the main site?

I'm still in for the yellow-orangy-red combination. ;)
Kinda like the colours in Nurr's banner or that of Eä old, yet famous banner. ;)

I voted green; partly because of The Hobbit connection, and partly because I just like that colour. However, Will's suggestion of a vibrant Y-O-R theme sounds pretty awesome too. :) It might not be as compatible with signature sets, though.

^ Good point about the sigs. Not sure how you would get a yellow/orange/red colour scheme to work together without it looking like a patchwork quilt, but I guess something could be done about it.

The other colours, on the other hand, just don't really feel right to me. I can't really explain it. :P

I vaguely remember the forum being green once before. But the colour most in my memory is purple. :lol: Man. Makes my brian hurt to think back that far. ;) In a galaxy far, far away ...

^I agree. A green the same pretty color as Arwen's coronation gown would be lovely but for sig sets/graphics darker colors always look better so... it really depends on what you are shooting for.

I voted green & I saw a similar green to Arwen´s coronation dress, like MontBo and Calloniel, did
I would have liked a catagory similar to - antique - as well, but green is fine.
Fresh & spring...two words that would suit the new AU :)

I know I voted for green, and I'm sticking with that.

But I totally had a thought about the red colour scheme. For some reason I was thinking of that god awful bright red, and thought it'd look terrible. But then I thought of the red in one of Arwen's dresses. It's like a really deep red, and if you had a colour scheme off of that with other dark colours, it might work.

Just a thought! :P

Definitely green - I especially liked the idea of using Arwen in her coronation gown. :) I also like purple as well, but alas, I only have one vote.
