I'm just wondering about one thing. You know in the Dead marshes scene where Frodo and Sam are going through them, and Frodo sees a dead person in the swamp that looks strangly familiar? You know the one where he falls into the water after looking at him, and sees lots of scary dead people. Is this just some random person, or is that a character? My brother is mystifyed about this too.  Look! I spontaneously combusted!!

It's a random person--not a character from the movies. Though he does look like one of the Elvish warriors from the Prologue to FotR (one of the few without a helmet on). |

I think they were just random people. Although, one or two solidors did look a bit familiar from the start of the first film. |

Yeah. I doubt anyone will contradict that point. There's just no real point in having non-random ghouls appearing the Dead Marshes. |
