I love when Theoden is released from Saruman's spell. That whole sequence of his coming back to life, in a very real sense is flawless. I still don't know how they did it.
Another favorite scene is "What's 'tatters precious? What's 'tatters, eh?" hehehehe

Well, one of my absolute favorite parts I must say is when Elrond is talking to Arwen about the choice she has made and what will come of it. I just think that was really well done...and so sad!
Secondly I would definately have to say is "Stewed Conies and Herbs" or whatever that particular part is called, with Sam and Gollum and the rabbits they cooked up? That was the part I had been really looking forward to when I saw TTT (I had already read the book), and I was very pleased that they stayed mostly on track with the conversation and the actions.

I LOVED it in the Last March of the Ents as they came out of the forest in that vast army. what struck me the most was that awesome display of vengeance and power - the ents finally striking back against Saruman (not that I wanted to see Saruman defeated but I still loved it). it's like one of those moments when the defender strikes back against the assaulter and makes up for all the damage done. I don't know, I'm just attracted to parts like that, same with the part in ROTK when they first fired the trebuchets of Minas Tirith against the orcs

I've seen TTT a few days ago and the scene where Freda is saying goodbye to her mother almost broke my heart. I mean it; I was almost crying!

Frodo: "I can't do this Sam."
Sam: "I know. It's all wrong. By rights we shouldn't even be here . . . But we are. It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo, the ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were, and sometimes you didn't want to know the end, because how could the end be happy?. . . How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened?. . . But in the end, it's only a passing thing . . . this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines, it'll shine out the clearer. . . Those were the stories that stayed with you, that meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I understand. I know now. Folks in those stories . . . had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going. Because they were holding onto something."
Frodo: "What are we holding onto Sam?"
Sam: "That there's some good in this world Mr. Frodo. And it's worth fighting for."
That scene is so touching. I watch it over and over and over. [/quote]
So did I. I think I watched it over 10 times, but I still start to cry when I watch this scene. It is sooo beautiful, so touching..
