I love Treebeard! Also where Merry and Pippin sits on top of him and nearly sre falling asleep... Love it.
I also love Gimli. He's just fun all the time.
Don't tell the Elf!

Sam with his potatoes? Hmmm. . . A lot of people seem to like that part, and I guess I can see why.
POTATOES! Teehee!

I love the comic relief in these films, it takes away some of the depressing gloom after sad scenes.

Anyone remember when Grishnich (I can't spell hus name, so I'll call him "Grishie") says about meat "What about their legs?" *points to Merry and Pippin, who look down at their legs* "--They don't need those!"
Bahahahahahahahaha, oh how I LOVE that part! I still crack up every time!
"MEAT'S BACK ON THE MENU, BOYS!!!" -Skarkack (if that's his name ><)

Yes, you're right. But the filmmakers should be careful on where and when they add the comic relief, because you don't want to mess up all the emotions by first seeing Boromir die, and then two seconds later, for example, having Sam singing about potatoes.

my favourite funny scenes are:
When Legolas and Gimli talk at the wall
Fighting scene where Gimli hits the uruk berserkers between the legs! (Yeah.....I`m a sick person....)
The Uruk Olympics!! When that uruks jumps in there I pictured what he was thinking at the moment: "Woohooo!"

Yes, Gimli is humorous. I noticed that today when I was watching TTT this morning - at the parts of Helms Deep.

Gimli's a good comic-relief counterpart. That's why I think he's cool.

I always think the parts with the Orcs and the Uruk-hai are hilarious. My family gives me odd looks as I giggle over things like
"Give him some medicine, boys?"
or
"Looks like meat's back on the menu, boys!"
They have really funny voices. I also like the scenes with Legolas and Gimli before and after the battle.

Yeah, they do have funny voices don't they? Especially the one with the elvish-ey, pointy ears. His voice is so squeaky compared to the others!
