<Scene: The Helm's Deep armory. Aragorn inspects a sword, tosses it down scowling. Men and boys file by and are fitted with weapons and arms.>

Aragorn: Farmers, farriers, stable boys. These are no soldiers.

Gimli: Most have seen too many winters.

Legolas: Or too few.

Rohan Man: There you are, old man.

Legolas: Look at them. They're frightened. I can see it in their eyes.

(At Legolas words all the men stop and listen to the conversation.)

Legolas: Boe a hyn, neled herain dan caer menig. [And they should be... Three hundred against ten thousand.]

Aragorn: Si beriathar hyn, ammaeg na ned Edoras. [They have more hope of defending themselves here than at Edoras.]

Legolas: Aragorn, nedin dagor hen u-'erir ortheri. Natha daged dhaer. [We are warriors. They cannot win this fight. They are all going to die!]

Aragorn: Then I shall die as one of them!

(Aragorn stalks away, Legolas starts after him.)

Gimli: Let him go, lad. Let him be.

Tell me if it's just me now, But I remember watching the movie in the theater, and the part where Legolas tells Aragorn that it's a hopless fight and all the Rohan people are gonna die, and then Aragorn says, "These are my people, and I shall die as one of them!" I remember him saying "these are my people." But then when I bought the DVD it wasn't there anymore. And then when I was watching old trailers or the tv spots(I forget which ones)he said "These are my people." in one of them. Does anyone else remember that being in the movie but me?

It's RIGHT before you watch the scene where Gamling is putting Theoden's armor on him so as to prepare for battle.

I know the part of "Then I shall die as one of them!" How many times have I seen that scene?? But I've only seen the EE, so I've never heard "These are my people." Now I feel I should run off and watch trailers.

I don't remember the "These are my people" and I've seen both. However, he does say "Then I shall die as one of them!" to Legolas.

can't remmeber it either...i think he said that in the movie but not when he and legolas had a "conflict"...

I havent seen TTT EE for some time, so I may be wrong, but I am quite sure that he only says "Then I shall die as one of them".

Yeah, i don't remember it either, and i've seen both EE and the normal - and i've never heard him say that. I do love when he says "Then i will die as one of them!" I LOVE that line!

I've seen both the EE and the normal DVD, but I've only heard: Then I shall die as one of them! You have to love him for saying that.

I've never heard that line either. I have both EE and theatrical but that line is not one I'm familiar with. It sounds like something he would say but I never heard it in the movie.
