I knew Gandalf wasn't going to die because I saw ROTK before I saw FOTR

Sam's speech made me cry buckets! I started and then I just couldn't stop. It what so beautiful!

Btw, I agree with you Kit. TTT was probably the most depressing out of the 3. The situation went from bad to worse.

Lol I actually never thought about it but you're right. All these things went wrong; quite depressing.

I love Sam's speech! It's so sad...but no I didn't cry...

Yeah, I found Sam's whole speach really sad, and it made me cry. And it also gave me that feeling where are all of sudden you feel a tingling, when the thing being said has real meaning, and it tugs at your emotions. An yes, i so tottaly cried when Gandalf died, even though I read the book and knew he was coming back. It was just so beautifuly filmed, especily when they are out of the mountain, and they are all crying, and then Aragorn says "We must go" Then Boromir replies, with a very sad look on his face "Give them a moment, for pities sake." And the whole Hels Deep thing was very depressing, especially with all the old men and children being drafted to defend Helms Deep. And the whole Haldir death thing (Even though he never came to Helms Deep!) But it was really sad anyway. I'm gonna stop right here before I list every single part, FotR, TT, and RotK, that made me sad and depressed

Geesh! I thought I was the only one who absolutely loved the "sad" parts! The previously mentioned Sam's Speech at the end and when Arwen sees Aragorn's grave ect....I just loved the emotion...and the lines...

Its sad, but thats what makes it great! I love it too! My emotions go wild, and I cry, and I think "Ohhhhhh, how sad!" And I love it.

I LOVED the depressing parts! My absolute fav would be Arwen's funeral. That was easily one of my top 3 fav scenes, behind the Battle of Helm's Deep, and the scene in Osgiliath. Why? Beacuse (Arwen's funeral scene aka "The Evenstar") was done so perfectly with the dialogue, unspoken emotion with Arwen walking in the trees and looking at Aragorn's grave long after this death. I'm a fan of photography, so I highly applaude the cinematographer for their superior job (I like applauding people). The lighting and sets was fantabulastic!!! :)

Just in case you were wondering, I love the Battle of Helm's Deep for the action, and Osgiliath for the set, character conflicts, and when Frodo offers the Ring to the Nazgul... it's just SO COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-D [/quote]

Yeah, I like the depressing parts too, but not quite as much as Helm's Deep and some of the awesome scenes.

By the way, elrondschild, that second pic in your signature is pretty hilarious. :)
