Font face:Speaking of weird things in TTT, Why do the elves fo to Helms Deep? And when Haldir comes he says " I bring word from Elrond of Rivendell." Why would he be bringing word from Elrond if, Haldir is from Lothlorien?

I think it's because Elrond and Galadriel were talking to eachother or something like that. I also beliee PJ wanted to show that the elves weren't just going to leave Middle-Earth to die.

Ya I think it was a stand together type thing. Plus Haldir probably had good relations with Elrond considering he seems to be friends with many people.

Did anyone notice that in the little battle on the edge of Fangorn and the horse rears up over Pippin his hands are untied and flung out, but just a few seconds later we see him crawling with his hands tied and then cutting them on the rock to get them off?
I thought that was rather strange...lol

Indeed, that is quite strange.

I really don't mind all those mistakes in Lotr. I'm happy with the movie on itself and its still brilliant.

The filmed version of The Two Towers was very different from the book.I've noticed some weird things too.I don't remember any elven help at Helm's Deep in the book.Or the arrival of Eomer.Wasn't he with King Theoden already?I rembember that Gandalf arrives with Erckenbrand, not with Eomer!

Yes, in the book, Éomer was already at Helm's Deep, and Gandalf came with Erkenbrand, and, as I recall "a thousand men of the Westfold," or some such thing.

I read it only a month or two ago, so it's still fresh in my mind.

Maybe you just didn't see them... horses bearing riders are easier to spot than riderless horses. It's not like they zoomed in on each and every horse just to show you that they all bore riders. Hasufel's former master, Garúlf, was slain... and his steed was left riderless. Arod's late master probably met the same fate, as well. So nobody had to get off any horse.

I knew that, at least that was what it said in the books. But in the movies it showed a bird's eye view of the group of riders, and there were no riderless horses. I checked it carefully; and I'm pretty sure PJ didn't have two riderless horses at the beginning when they first ride past.
Eh, I dunno, maybe I'm wrong. But that was what I saw. Maybe I should watch it again.
