I don't mind the clean Aragorn at the coronation either, but his hair looks completely different. I mean, when he was reading in Rivendell, or even when he was with Arwen, his hair was clean and it looked nice. But I didn't like the length in ROTK and the fact it looked all trimmed and poofy. His beard was too long as well. *disgruntled*
His hair and beard were just too long and curly I just liked that rugged look of Aragorn where he didn't have a full beard. Same goes for Eomer.. he looked much better when he was in battle than at the Coronation

I think that Aragorn looks best in the fighting scenes when he's all sweaty, unwashed and dirty.. ..umm..where was I?
Right, I think the Ranger look fits Aragorn a lot better than his coronation look...
He's just not the guy that's fully armed...you know with helmet and shield and all that stuff, which is why I think he looks so awkward at the end of RotK. It's just not the "real" Aragorn...

I totally agree. Being so unwashed makes him...the man he is I was actually so confused when I saw him all tidy and washed with combed hair and only thought "Where went the greasy-haired stranger I used to know? Who are you and what have you done to Aragorn?"
