Oh.......I think I'm gonna cry. I can't really put into words what that expression is. Possibly sadness, because he will not live. Maybe he feels death coming on. Maybe he's extremely angry that an uruk-hai sliced his head open, but he doesn't have the strenght to move his face muscles. Who knows?

It is sad. I think I had a translation for the song at one point, but now I don't remember. Do you have one?

yeah .. the elvish words are:
Ar sindarnoriello caita mornie, Ar ilye tier undulave lumbule...
the translation is:
Out of a grey country darkness lies And all paths are drowned deep in shadow...

too depressing ... those words are horribly sad ... *throws a fit* I swear Haldir shouldnt've died ... why did they have to make HIM die along with all the elves? its not even necessary...

I think they just wanted anyone to die to make the movie more dramatic. Then they came along with the idea of bringing Haldir to Helm's Deep and then, at last, the thought of how the audience would react if Haldir dies.

Poor Haldir! Just because Tolkien didn't mention him after FotR Peter Jackson killed him... that's weird!

But I'm sure that Haldir had to fight as well, because there was war in Lorien as well! But Tolkien never really wrote much about this war.

yes, but people think that he survived that war and sailed to Valinor after that ... but PJ decided to make him die since he wasnt re-introducted in all of the books after FotR by Tolkien...

Haldir is dead. Over it It is so terrible that he died by the axe of Uruk-Hai after killed many of them so easily. He answered to Theoden's call of retreat and he paid with his life.

^actually he answered to Aragorn's call ... Aragorn answered to Theodens
and the book is the accureate source not the movie, so Haldir aint dead.
