I just noticed while watching TTT again that when Haldir (yes I pay special attention to his every move) arrived at Helm's Deep with the Host, he was clearly NOT carrying a bow, just a sword. But during the battle, he somehow got a hold of a bow ... and AFTER his part of the battle, before and when he was dying he didn't have a bow on him *AGAIN* ... is that weird or what?

Hehe, I guess that's what happens when you're a Haldir lover...no, I never did notice that, but I seem to remember someone asking me about it and me sort of saying that one of the elves likely carried it for him. Lol I haven't watched the movies a WHOLE lot, however, I like to space them out so that every time I watch I learn something new.

I never noticed that, he must have dropped it when the Uruks came onto the wall.

Yeah he has to have ... they couldn't do fight with a sword and a bow at ths same time ... but they should have actually shown an Elf holding his bow and quiver as they entered Helm's Deep, just so we know where it came from.

Probably just one of those little things PJ forgot about or didn't catch. Who knows, maybe Haldir borrowed one and then dropped it when he died. Anything can happen in the movies.

I didn't notice it either, and I'm watching it! I think I'll have to go back and see if I can spot it.

Weird, eh? Maybe an unseen Elf was carrying it for him because - for some odd reason - Haldir needed free hands?

Oh, I noticed that my second or third time watching the movie, but, like everyone else apparently, I assumed it was being carried by another elf or something, and then, the next time I watched it or so, I noticed that none of the Elves have quivers or swords when they first walk in--the first time you see them is when they're on/behind the wall. So then I changed my opinion to decide that they must've had pack animals or something in the rear to carry their supplies....it sort of helps in covering up that rather large error.

It's not in just TTT, I've seen that in FOTR as well. It seems that his bow plus the quiver of arrows seem to disappear and reappear off and on with him.

Well in FotR, they got to stop in talans, which would make loads more sense; they could put down or pick things up... but in TTT, they HAD to carry their own things.

True, but that was the Extended version though. In the Theatrical version however, he lead the Fellowship straight to Caras Galadhon, but along the way somewhere, his quiver of arrows disappear.

But they wouldn't refilm that entire part with him wearing the quiver just to avoid confusion, would they? Since they obviously filmed the 'extended' parts at the same time. That tells us that the film fans have to actually read the book before believing that the whole of Lothlórien is the size of my backyard
