Yes, I know that it's been said before, yada yada yada...
BUT
Oh My God. I finished watching ROTK last night and God! How sad!
I've seen it a few times before, of course, but every time it gets me.
I've been depressed all day today!
Why did it have to end? Even if they did go through a whole lot of suffering, it shouldn't have ended! It should have gone on forever and ever.
I was going to start watching them all again, but I've decided to wait. The novelty of LOTR canot wear off. (And even if I did watch them over and over without stopping, it would take AGES for the novelty to diminish, but still )
Why did Frodo have to leave them, the fool Poor Sam! I just felt like they HAD to stay together forever after all they'd been through.
Although had it been that he'd stayed and was saying bye to Gandalf and Bilbo, I'd probably be saying "Why didn't he go with them!?"
Awwww! Why did it END??? Peter Jackson, I demand you do an alternate story for ROTK so the LOTR series (Not trilogy anymore ) can go on forever!
God, haven't I waffled. Well, that's how PASSIONATE I am about it all
Right, I think I've finished.
In fact, I must end by reinstating the sadness of it all! Urgh! *cries*
Edit: Woah, to say it's sad I have a hell of a lot of s.
That's it.

Indeed! I've heard it's endless.
Yes, it's so sad, but I think it's also good to just enjoy an ending. If there wasn't an end, we'd be longing for one! And what a good ending at that!

Yeah, I know what you mean; I suppose all good things come to an end. And it's such a powerful trilogy that the ending couldn't be all fairytale like. It couldn't go back to the way it was after all that war.
But hey, it's great to have a good moan now and again

Middle Earth will always survive as long as us fans continue to believe in its magic!
Whoa! Sorry there everyone, i went a little preacher-goes-crystal-ball-gazer.
But seriously, Middle Earth can never die as long as we don't want it to. Another brilliant way Tolkien changed our lives. ME is sort of like the Never Ending Story! Yeah!

I know what you mean Winniepig and I'm really glad that there's so much other stuff you can read about Middle-Earth and I'm happy that I can talk to other fans here. I think that's very important.

Winniepig, I have a feeling you were one of the people walking out of the theatre with tears streaming down their cheeks and walked around for weeks muttering "it's over it's over it's over it's over it's over it's over"

hmm... i'm hoping that one day the tales of middle earth will become a tv series or something ^^ .. maybe we.. this generations fans, will make it (Now i'm reallly dreaming ><) .. some one has to! I've finished all the Tolkien books i can get my hands on..
I recall Peter saying that hopefully in 25 years time.. (actually.. it'd be 23 years now!! ^^ i went and saw him in Sydney, 2004) , he and the WETA crew will go back over the movies and re-do all the special effects and creatures - yet another edition ^^ - he better though.. when he said that, I was filled with so much happiness!
