					| "No parent should ever have to bury their child"
Appeals to deep, primal emotions that are stirred very effectively in this scene. Makes you think about what is important in life.

Finding out that Bernard Hill (King Theoden) added it after speaking to someone who had just recently lived through having one of their children pass away makes it even more poignant.

					| Oops....
My apologies. I have been told by another fan that I forgot (not hard at my age!) that this scene is in TTT, and not RoTK.
No wonder I killed this thread. --niggle

me too, partly because it's so sad, but also because it's sooooo beautiful and peaceful and all that... I can't really explain it, it's just so beautiful and has so much depth I think..

					| ya, I know wut u mean!! a lot of ppl i talk 2 r like, wut do u mean it's perfect?? it's sad & depressing & i hate it!! but i feel deferently about it.
Another scene that always makes me cry is when Aragorn gets crowned King......& when he sees arwen again & then he looks @ the hobbits & says "My friends! You bow to NO one." ahh!!! that ALWAYS gets me. *sniffle* lol _________________

					| pip&leggyluvr wrote: I cry then, too. Especially when Eowyn starts crying & everything. I think one of the really sad things in RotK is Faramir & Denethor. How his father acts like he doesn't luv him & everything, & Faramir almost dies. I always get teary eyed there.
Anyone else cry when Aragorn says, "My friend. You bow to no one." & then they all bow to the hobbits?? All my friends say it's corny, but I cry everytime I hear that line!!! lol that, & right before that when Aragorn & Arwen meet up again & kiss.

But I still say the last scene makes me cry the most.
I agrre with you I cry/get teary eyed for all those scenes as well. I hate Denethor .
The last scene makes me cry the most though, too._________________Still happily married to Sean Bean! (05-Feb-2010)

					| Exactly. Even though I've seen the movie a billion times, every single time I end up crying in the end. I just can't help it. It's just soooo sad, and yet it's not in away. It's such a bittersweet ending. It's amazing and beautiful and extremely well done, but also sad."Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home."_________________
