Correct me if I'm wrong:

Singular: Mumak
Plural: Mumakil
(with accent circumflex over the u like ^)

Well, as you are not wrong, I will not correct you. You are right.

Then, the people at Weta have horrible grammar on the appendices:

"We had a shot where two MUMAKILS crash into each other"
"We needed to make a giant dead mumakil"

I was so annoyed!

Well, who knows? I could actually be wrong. It wouldn't be the first time and it certainly won't be the last.
I have a hard time finding fault with the people of WETA, since they did such an amazing job on the effects for LOTR. It's the best CGI work I've ever seen. The Balrog was amazing!!! But that's just me. I can over look a few incorrections (that were not in the actual movie), for the sake of their awesome effects!

I believe you are right, but it doesn't really matter.

I know Weta Digital is awesome! I swear, someday, I'm going to be good enough to work there! (I'll try anyway)...I was just very very confused.

I know this also doesn't matter, but on the Cast Commentary, everyone calls the Fell Beasts Nazgul.
"I had to pretend I was riding a Nazgul!" (something along those lines)

It doesn't really matter, but something like Nazgul, so important to the plot...You would have thought that Lawrence Makoare would have known that he was a Nazgul (the King of the Nazgul!), not the thing he was riding!

EDIT: Wow. Just noticed how many times I wrote "Nazgul".
Another EDIT: YAY! Nazgul also has a ^ above the u!

Actually, the first time I watched LOTR, I thought the fell beasts were the Nazgul too. I thought it was Wraiths riding on Nazgul. But now I know it was Nazgul/Wraiths riding on fell beasts (that's what I call them too, but sometimes people don't know what I'm talking about. :P) So I can understand the mistake here as well. Besides, the actors were phenomenal enough that I can excuse their mistakes too. LOL. (just kidding. sort of. I do think they're phenomenal.)
You're right though. You would think that a Nazgul would know that he was one.
I forgive them though. <3

But in The Fellowship of the Ring, Frodo goes "Who are they?" And Aragorn goes on and on "They were once great kings of men...They are the Nazgul, the Ringwraiths..." And that's before The Two Towers when they actually get the Fell Beasts!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell! :)

People are human. They make mistakes. They move on. That's kind of the way life goes.
You're right. Oh Well! In the end, it doesn't really matter.

I went and checked up on this so that we know for sure whether WETA was right or wrong.

According to Encyclopedia of Arda [a trusted LotR info site] "'Mûmakil' is a plural form; an individual creature of this kind would be known as a 'mûmak'".

So there you have it. ;)
