Gandalf the White wrote: Well, we can only assume that in the RotK that Galadriel remade the staff and gave it back to him as she was the one that clothed him in white and gave him the white staff. As for in the Fellowship of the Ring, Gandalf probably rode down to his staff on the Chief Eagle.
I actually believe that the staff he had at the begining and the staff that he had at the Council of Elrond were to different staffs.

yeah, he loses one in the beginning of fotr because saruman takes it, then he loses another one in moria, and then his white one breaks, so if he got the previous one restocked someone must be out there *cough cough design teams* replenishing his staffs.

Staffs are only a method of channeling th ewizards power. So it doesnt really matter if it wasnt Gandalfs original but he probaly had one made for him @ some point.
Also legolas arrows could be made to look like that as when an archer goes hunting for feathers for fletches he raerly finds a whole quivers worth of the same looking feathers during his trip.

I did not get what it is meant by "I will break him". Nobody around me do understand the sentence when I asked them. If someone can help me understand it. I really wonder what Witch King meant.

I think he meant by breaking that he would make Gandalf, the wizard who kindled the hope of men fall into dispair and thus herald the fall of Men.
I think thats what it means. What do u think of this explanation? 8)

Explanatory one. Even though that sentence worth a lot in the movie, it is pity that we have not seen so much action. I wanted to see that Gandalf and Witch King engaged in a formidable fight.

That would have been a tight duel. Both were very powerful warriors?
Explanatory one???

Perhaps Gandalf used his powers to remake his staff. If not I second the idea of Staffs 'R' Us.

I've got it. He cut down a magical white tree and made 36 extra staffs, just in case...
