Frodo was a hero along with the Gamgees and i think his part in the tale ended all too quickly.

By the way if Immortaility was fo rthe elves only, how come hobbits are able to sail into the west, and wizards, and of course dwarves....

Uh...Sam did go to the Grey havens...he sailed with Cirdan, when Rosie had died. So he did get there....Just sayin'

And Frodo died. He just lived the rest of his life in Valinor, he was granted passage for being the Ringbearer. Sam the same story, since he bore it for a short time.
They didn't get immortality.
Valinor's maybe called "The Undying Lands" but that's because the people (elves, Ainur, Maiar) that live there don't die. Not because the lands itself hold some kind of magical power, the Elves didn't die in M-E either...
And the wizards...of course they could pass. They were materialised Maiar after all...they are immortal, and BELONG in Valinor...:P

This is all confusing. In essence, Hobbits are Immortal there. They are allowed to live out there forever, like Heaven really, they aren't dead are they?

I also think that Frodo going off with no wife means I wouldn't have to see wor Elijah Kissing some girl lol - in his hobbit stuff which to me is the most attractive side to Elijah, the long curly hair  yum!

Hee, but It's sad in a way. I suppose his character is always preserved in our hearts and in History lol. Who needs kids? It would have probably taken a lot of aspects out of him anyway, having a wife and kids.

I don't think the Hobbits were immortal. They died like everyone else.

Well, I don't think Aragorn could have gone to the Undying lands because he needed to take his place on the throne of Gondor. He hd a responsibility to his people. And even if he just left a steward, who can say that it will not decline into people like Denethor again? No, I think that Gondor needed a true king and a true line of kings. Although it may have been a happier ending, it would have been rather cliche and not work too well.

Also, Sam couldn't sail into Valinor right away because he had Rosie and Elanor and whatever other children they had after that.
