by the way: if they put it in(I'm also glad that they didn't) it would have been a movie mistake because they say somewhere in the movie that sauron cannot take physical shape so they had no other choice than to leave it out.
it would haave made the whole movie unnessessary!

I'm glad it didn't make it. In my opinion it would've been too Hollywood of them to have Sauron take physical form just to have a confrontation. I've always thought that having him never take form in the books was brilliant from Tolkien. It goes against everything you would expect in a story like this. This is just another example of concepts that work beautifully on paper but are hard to present on screen. I understand PJ's need to consider this alternative, because in the end, you're still making a movie, you still want to please the audience who hasn't read the book or knows nothing about it, and usually people expect something like this to happen in this kind of movie.

I wish it would have been made. I think it would be a pretty cool scene!

Nah--they would have contradicted themselves by doing it, and gone way beyond Canon, thus earning the undying hatred of me and many other die-hard fans.
Early in FotR, Saruman says to Gandalf, "he cannot yet take physical form, but his spirit has lost none of its potency. Concealed within his fortress, the Lord of Mordor sees all. His gaze pierces cloud, shadow, earth, and flesh." And then he goes on about the Eye of Sauron. However, my point was that he said that Sauron can't take physical form.
For Sauron to have gained power, he would have had to have some other source besides regaining the Ring, and then they would have had to have added that to the movie as well as the Aragorn vs. Sauron confrontation.
In the end, it would've complicated the movie, made it less interesting and more confusing, and made quite a few enemies among Tolkien's fans.
