What did you miss in the movies or wish they hadnt added?

I really missed the scouring of the shire! I loved that part of the book.
I wish they wouldnt have put in the part were Frodo tells sam to go home.

Another part I kinda wish they had put in, was the part were sauron comes out. Like part of me wishes they would have put it in and the other part of me whould have been furious! Did any one know they were talking about Cate Blanchette playing that part? But they didnt put it in soooo.....

Nah, I don't think that that part should have been put in. In the Silmarillion in clearly says that when Numenor was drowned, Sauron fell; he didn't die but he could never again take on a fair form.

I would like more E/F added, and the Scouring of the Shire

I'd like to take out two arwen scenes (her seeing her son and her 'dieing') and the 'you bow to no one' and Frodo practically falling at Mount Doom. There's other stuff too but I can't think of it right now.

I wish they hadn't put in so much of the Frodo getting in trouble and almost dying parts. that really portrays him as a weak character. however I'm glad they took out the boring parts at the beginning of the FOTR book. I was so bored to death

Lol, yeah sorry. I know a lot of people love that scene, but I find it cheesy.

I don't really have any things to add or comment about any existing scene but....

Scouring of the Shire; two problems. Very anti-climatic. Would've disrupted some events that would've needed to happen film-wise. I can understand why they decided not to add that. The vision in Fellowship of the Ring was fine.

With the Sauron coming out as an angel thing....I think part of me would have been: " Oooh, look at that! " and then the Purist : " Grrr rawr! :: rant rant :: ".. So it's best that it wasn't put in.

In RotK..When Elrond says: " Arwen's dying...She's tied with Ring..Sauron..etc.." . I was pretty dumbfounded in the cinema.
Arwen is NOT tied to the Ring, and I spent the whole car ride home trying to think of an explanation and I got nothing...

I've always thought that whole Elrond thing that he said to Aragorn was really "pay back for falling in love with my daughter so I'm gonna put a whole crap load of worry on your shoulders so that you can risk your life confronting the dead dude that I used to play poker with back in the day".

Elrond at a lot on his shoulders at that time. he had his daughter and Rivendell to worry about so he can't really blame him for feeling a little ticked off.

I really hated that scene where Frodo wakes up and everyone comes, with all the hugging and the laughter, that was waaay too cheesy. So was, 'you bow to no one'

I think that the scenes in Minas Tirith with Beregond should have been put in, as well as the Scouring of the Shire. I would have also liked to see more Houses of Healing

what I mean is that Elrond has a lot to worry about without his daughter falling in love with a mortal. yes, he was a little accusing with Aragorn but in the end at Aragorn's coronation he looked happy enough
