I love the cheesy parts they're the parts that give the movie a more relaxed tone rather then being GO GO GO all the time. I wish there had been Scouring of the Shire and more Faramir/Eowyn...no other complaints

ADD:
Scouring of the Shire (yeah, i know, anti-climatic, but we're listing things we want no matter what, right? )
Eowyn and Faramir (along with Arwen and Aragorn) getting married
TAKE OUT:nothing (i can't really think of anything right now.)

ADD:
More Faramir and Eowyn
Merry bidding farewell to Theoden at his death
The Epilogue. Maybe it could be like footage at the end of the credits or maybe it could be a short feature on a future version of the DVD. One could only wish!
TAKE OUT:
Nothing. There are tiny things that I don't care for in the movie, but they don't ruin the movie for me at all. So overall I'm good with it!
I was thinking about the Scouring of the Shire, but I must say I love Saruman's death in the movie.

I definately as the E/F shipper that I am would've included more of the whole E/F growing attraction...kinship...oh he's well rounded...oh she needs cheering up, I'll give her mom's old starry mantle...oh, he cares...oh she cares...i like this...i like this more...we understand each other...we both lost loved ones...into love, and the kissing bit. (That still chaps my hide, not one lousy kiss!!!)
But all in all, at least in the EE PJ & co. showed the houses of healing, and the attraction, etc.
Epilogue, I definately wanted to see the epilogue.
I wanted to see Pippin showing baby Faramir to the actual Faramir.
Taken out: nothing, it was long enough, but I wouldn't take anything out.

Yes!! Definately. And, I mean, c'mon, they didn't film that epilogue for nothing! They have to do something with it rather than having that time filming it be wasted. It ought to be on a future release.

I think they left it out because it would seem anti-climactic after Saruman's palantir, but I think it would have been interesting to see Denethor's pyre scene as the book described, where he goes completely nuts, and pulls out the palantir
- which helps explain his madness a lot better.

take out: some battle scenes, the death of Haldir, Frodo sending Sam away, the change of Faramir's personality

What I really missed in the movies was Gollum's last sentence as he falls down into the lava: " My Precioussss!!!" I was dissapointed when he didn't say that.
But on the other hand understand PJ that Gollum thought about the ring betraying him, but was too shocked to speak.

I agree with you on that. He would've been way too shocked. His expression kind of said it, though.

I understand why they didn't do Scouring of the Shire but.....I love that part! It just showed how nothing was safe from Sauron's evil.
I would've been so mad if they had Sauron come out at the Black Gate though. He lost his fair form after the fall of Numenor.
They could've gotten rid of more of Frodo sad, Frodo unhappy, Frodo falling down, Frodo clutching the ring....you get the point. Some is important to show how the ring was affecting him, but they just carried it on and on and on.

Are you kidding? I hated the Scouring of the Shire! It made me cry to read about all the sweet little hobbits being controlled by Saruman. And the trees being cut down made me cry even more...I think it was my very least favorite part of the book.
I loved "You bow to no one" so much, it made me cry and laugh and love Aragorn even more than I already did.
I think there should have been more Faramir/Eowyn, partly because I adore Faramir and partly because I did want to see them kiss, but if it would have meant less Frodo/Sam time, I wouldn't have, because they really are THE main plot.
*Is crying already thinking of "You bow to no one"...*

The Scouring of the Shire is a very important part of the trilogy, to me at least. It shows that Hobbits, not just Frodo, are capable of triumphing over evil. They can rise above other peoples' expectations, and can take care of themselves. It shows you that Hobbits are a resiliant people, and can surprised you when you least expect it.

Well I already knew THAT. Hobbits rock. I hated how they cut down the trees and how sad Sam was and I was like sheesh! They destroyed the Ring, now THIS needs doing?! I do agree that it's a very important plot element, but I am a little glad they left it out inthe movie.

they definitely should have added more Eowyn and Faramir. I really wanted to see the part where Faramir gives Eowyn that beautiful cloak like in the book *dies* lol. And they should have had two more weddings! Aragorn and Arwen and Faramir and Eowyn...
The only scene that definitely needs to be taken out is the fight Gandalf has with The Witch King. That portrayed Gandalf was being very weak when he wasn't!! They said in the book that he was more powerful than the Nazgul. And also it was rather stupid that the fell beast that he rode had such a powerful affect on Pippin when later it has none on Eowyn. Yeah...I didn't like that at all.
