I so agree!! It is through sacrifice and loyalty that love is demonstrated in LotR. And it doesn’t always take a sword to show this. Each character paints a differing picture of this ultimately triumph force—whether championing it like Frodo, Sam, Galadriel, Boromir, Arwen and others—or contrasting it with deeds of evil.

I believe that in her powerful role, Arwen embodys the underlying theme of love in LotR that makes these books so compelling and believable.
