This is a completely meaningless topic, but in this screencap this is so Arwen's double, not Liv :teehee:

mwa, yes. the nose is entirely not Liv-like. but I remember them saying that she did none of her own horse-work.

Yeah her double's Lani Jackson I think, I remember watching the making of FotR in the extras, and Liv was riding a barrel when they were filming the Flight to the Ford... killer material :innocent:

yeah, I do wonder why she didn't just RIDE a horse. It's not hard. any fool can do it, see, you climb on in a nice little saddle, and you sit there. the horsey goes, and you go with it. *ahem* but yeah.

Hahhahahaha yeah... I mean, I understand the Flight to the Ford scene, as the horse was going at an extremely fast pace... but in the photo I just posted, how difficult is it to teach Liv to turn a horse around? Look at all the other stuff they taught the other actors :P

Looking at that photo with Figwit, it looks like the scene where he says "Milday, we canot delay" and she turns round and gallops off. It could be the bosses didn't want her galloping through the woods, or it could simply have been Liv wasn't available that day for the shot.

I would take it from this statement that you've never ridden! So totally NOT true! And especially for actors the risk factor is extreme if they do not know what they are doing.....ahem....

Learning to ride a horse has got to be a difficult task, but so were some of the other stunts that some of the actors actually pulled by themselves (*coughBloom...Viggo*)

If Liv isn't a good horsewoman, then why would they make her learn to ride a horse for that one scene? Most of her other horse scenes obviously needed a stunt ride. As I said, she may not even have been there for that shot that day.

They could have filmed another scene while she wasn't there...
But yeah it was a mere suggestion, dunno what actually went down.

obviously, you guys never watch the dvd special features. Liv Tyler is\was very afraid of horses and therefore, didnt' do most of her own horse work *though she was trained to do it*; I believe the woman who did the Flight to the Ford stuff was Jane Abbott from New Zealand or Australia.

And as somebody else said, the danger factor and the fact that Liv might not have been there to do that shot also may have been factors. but Liv was afraid of horses. more than likely, that was why she's not in the shot.

wow....I have too much free time. :p but yeah, never noticed that shot before.

Hmph. Horses aren't that scary, and she's a grown woman for pete's sake! that's just silly. and thank you for the screencap, I never knew that was her double.

Nicole Kidman is terrified of butterflies. So never underestimate what a person is afraid of.

A least one well aimed kick can kill someone or seriously injure them. I've never heard anyone being butyerflied to death.
