When there is a bright light at the battle of the gates of mordor it was meant to be the form Sauron took into persuading the elven smiths to make the one ring, only aragorn can see it and it blinds everyone else, this was cut from the movie though but the light is still there there was also meant to be a fight between sauron and aragorn if this went ahead what would you think????????????

I personally think it should have gone through. :yes: But I've seen so many movies where I watch deleted scenes, and the deleted scenes were better than what they had replaced them with!!! :frust: Why? I don't know. People are strange things. :)

I'm so glad they made the change. It's pretty clearly stated in other Tolkien works that Sauron lost his ability to be in his "fair form" after the fall of Numenor - I feel like putting that into the movie would've been an unnecessary pain for the long-time book fans. It wouldn't add much story-wise and could even be confusing for first time watchers. After all, we've only seen Sauron as a flaming eyeball and a guy in creepy armor. ;)

That was a good decision 'cause Sauron lost his ability to transform into beautiful or handsome looking elvensmith when Gil-Galad and Elendil killed him.
