There are many funny things and I like almost the same things as you.

Just think, Legolas is, what, thousands of years old than me? If he were real I could still drink him under the table and I am only nearly 19!!!

it's the faces he pulls during that scene that make me laugh

Oh yes, I thought the drinking game humongously! He is a man "who can't handle his liquor!"

Hehe yes I do agree with you Tirithiel that it isnt as funny as the other movies, but there are some funny parts. Like the drinking scene, and I loved when Merry and Pippin danced on the table singing "Oh you can search far and wide, you can drink the whole town dry.." And they kicked the guys mug of beer. lol! Also in the beginning of the movie when they are sitting and smoking, and eating in front of Isengard and Gandalf and everyone rides up from Fangorn Forest, and there like "Welcome to Isengard" lol I think that thats pretty funny!

Let me think.... well, in the book there is this part which I think is quite funny, it's in The Return of the King-chapterVI-Many Partings:
In three days, as the king had said, Eomer of Rohan came riding to the city, and with him came an eored of the fiarest knights of the Mark. He was welcomed;and when they sat all at the table in Merethrond, the great hall of Feasts, he beheld the beauty of the ladies that he saw and was filled with great wonder. And before he went to his rest he sent for Gimli the Dwarf, and he said to him:'Gimli Gloin's son,have you your axe ready?'
'Nay,lord,' said Gimli,'but I can speedily fetch it,if there be need.'
'You shall judge,'said Eomer.'For there are certain rash words concerning the Lady of the Golden wood that lie still between us. And noeI have seen her with my eyes.'
'Well,lord,'said Gimli,'and what say you now?'
'Alas!'said Eomer.'I will not say she is the fairest lady that lives.'
Then I must go for my axe,'said Gimli.
