I thought it was wrong that Legolas didn't get a lover in any of the movies. But, of course, Aragorn got both of the girls in the movies to like him. lol. I think that Legolas deserved a girl. What do you all think?

No, I don't think he should have... that would make the movies have even LESS stuff from the books.
And hey, think of it this way: they left it open for all the Mary-Sue writers to give us those fluffy and utterly unrealistic yet highly amusing fanfics.

Um...I think no, because then what's the point of it really? Aragorn & Arwen's relationship go way back and has more meaning. But hey...yeah wouldn't you rather have him sail to the legolas-lovers? He won't be taken by a gale in middle earth then. so I agree with kit.

Maybe he already had a girl in Mirkwood?

That could be, because Tolkien didn't tell much about Legolas his family, so we don't know if he has brothers or sisters or who his mother was.
But I think I wouldn't like it when Legolas has a girlfriend in the movies, it is already awful enough that Aragorn is taken and Faramir as well. We need someone who is handsome and cool and nice, who doesn't have a girlfriend, to dream about and the best one for that is ofcourse Legolas!!!

I completely agree! I would absolutely hate it if he had a girlfriend. After all, most of the characters seem to have a love interest (Sam, Aragorn, Faramir, Eomer- I think he marries someone in the books etc.)

Who is left for all of us fangirls to dream and drool over that is as perfect as he is?

the movies just enhanced the characters. but the books mostly focused on Aragorn and him becoming King, and Gandalf and Frodo and Sam ofcourse.
