There's one glitch in FotR that I never forget... when Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin hide under the tree root when Frodo tells them to get off the road. Then there's a wide shot, with the four hobbits and the tree, and all of a sudden, the Nazgul comes out from behind the tree! It doesn't go past the gap where the camera ends and the tree starts...
and then...

In RotK Gollum bites Frodo's finger (left hand, index finger) off, when Sam and Frodo are sitting on the rock and they, well, kind of cuddle, the finger is there again. When he's in Rivendell you can see that a part of the finger is missing and in the green dragon it's there again... that was the first mistake I noticed (and I think it's really obvious)

I just watched TTT and found another mistake in it. when the uruk-hai fight and merry and pippin are lying on the ground, first you see Pippin crawling towards Merry, that take he's left of Merry, then the show the uruk-hai and when you see merry and pippin again, pippin is on merry's right side. in the commentary they say the scene had been flipped...

another mistake in TTT:
when you see the uruk-hai running through rohan, they don't carry merry und pippin (dom says that in the commentary)

Actually, I've been meaning to look out for it every time I watched the movie, because it would be a thing they might mess up, but I alwasy forgot it... lol
I'm not sure this is true, but in the original version (don't know with the EE's) when Aragorn and the others ride towards the Black Gate to challenge Sauron, the banner looks white.. the colors of King Elessar, but when they turn around on retreat it looks darker... or is it just my imagination? I watched it at 8 in the morning - after having been up all night watching a movie marathon...  _________________ >>Be the change you wish to see in the world<<

I saw something in TTT that's very quick and hard to notice, but...do they have lipstick in Middle Earth?
When Eowyn and Eomer are leaning over Theodred after Eomer brought him back wounded, it's very obvious Miranda was wearing lipstick. It ought to have been made to look natural. But also, if you watch closely, you'll notice that as Eowyn closes her eyes, and then turns and looks at Eomer she rubs the lipstick in with her lips.
Also, when she comes running up the steps right before that, if you play it slow, her dress blows up a little too high and you can see her "modern" socks. In the cast commentary she says that they had to make sure that didn't happen, but, hello, it happened anyway! 
They were a bit careless with the character of Eowyn.
EDIT: Oh, the sneakers in TTT? I was going to mention that but I thought maybe they weren't and I just thought they were. When Gandalf first walks into Theoden's hall he is wearing them; no wonder Theoden was laughing.  JK

I noticed a few (you may have already wrote them here but anyway  ).
First in TTT, when the horse is about to fall on Pippin, his hands are NOT tied. When he roles over they are tied.
Another one is that through Fangorn Forest Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli don't have there horses, when they come out they are there again. _________________

^Well, they could have left the horses outside the forest and got them later.

^yeah thats what i thought.
BUT when Gandalf calls Shadowfax u can clearly see he isnt wearing a saddle but i believe just after when Gandalf is riding him u can see a saddle  .tell me if i'm wrong there. _________________ <img src="http://i3.tinypic.com/zio9sh.jpg">

I guess, but it does seem a little strange.
Another is at the Battle at the Black Gate. During his speech, Aragorn gets off his horse, which then disappears. It couldn't have run away because when they show an overveiw the horses are no where to be seen.
