I think he's a great role model for any young man. Hear! Hear! I soooooo love what you just said Nightingale! I have been teaching my boys the 4 pillars of manhood and though providing, teaching and being a friend/lover are all very important, manhood seems to be especially linked to protecting. There are many thrilling examples of men protecting those they love in LotR and Boromir's last stand is certainly as moving as any. He is truly a great role model for my sons and, like you said, for any young man! |
