Kit rushed around the house coming straight from the library and she ran into Elegost and Turwaithion and whoever they may have been with, "Come quick, strong men of the house! Someone has happened to Lord and Lady Death!"

Tur spun on his heel and stared at Kit a moment. Then , he wrenched the pistol free of his holster and ran after Kit with Elegost. "We may get those parting shots yet." he said, laughing.

Kit's words cut through her and her excitement vanished into something akin to fear, but not quite. Curiousity mabye? She couldn't tell, but what she did know was she had to find out what had happened to Lord and Lady Death

Kit led the party to the library as fast and she could and burst through the door. She turned to everyone who was hot in her heels and pointed to the pile of books on the floor, with both Lord and Lady Death lying still beneath them.

Tur knelt quickly, and was satisfied that they were both dead as they could get, pulses having no use. Then, he cocked the pistol and gestured to the shelves. "Those wouldn't havve fallen by themsleves. Elegost, you that the right, I'll take the left." he said, searching the aisles speedily at gunpoint.

Kit carefully avoided the bodies of both Lord and Lady and picked up a rather thick book. "My goodness! This is more terrible than I thought!!" Kit picked up another book and inspected them. "They're...."
She couldn't fathom it.
"They're all TWILIGHT books!" She sobbed.

Tur took his great-uncle's hint and exaimined the tomes with his free hand, looking for anything that seemed out of place, or a crack or seam in the wall that would betray a passage. "Shab." he spat. "Shab, shab, shab."
"What?" he called. "So what if they're teen romance novels. How does that help us?" he asked in a dangerously low voice, now scouring the moldings.
