"Well, the pumpkin pie hasn't quite come into existence yet, Thion," Indilwen said. "We're just plotting about what kind of baking we'll be doing later today... us girls, that is. Unless you guys are just dying for something to do... er, I mean, you really want something to do. No dying, please. And what in the world are motion-activated turrets?" she asked, chattering briskly, going from one subject to the next.

Eä retrieved her laptop with a sigh and tucked it under her arm. She glanced around in the empty Dining Room and shuddered. The mansion was huge. It had a way of drowning all sounds and noises with its thick carpets and long hall ways. Sometimes she felt she was the only living soul in the house. She shook off the eerie feeling and strode out on the hall again. Passing the notorious Billiard Room she noticed Jocelyn.
"Hello there, what a place to have a nap. Everything alright?"

"Me? Oh yeah, I believe so. My sanity has already been questioned a couple of times during my stay here, and half of those times I was the one to question it... I think... so nothing new there either." She smirked as she deliberately echoed Jocelyn's words.
"I just saw Tur in the kitchen. I'm glad to have settled that he is not the killer, although his armory does seems a little.. you know... overkill.
She tilted her head, smiling slightly, to see how Jocelyn would take her pun.

Tur smiled, shaking his head. He tapped the MG slug across his back. "Picture this attatched to the outer wall. Now if it's switched on and proggrammed correctly, then anyone not recogized walks around outside, they'll get a load of hot lead. It would save us the trouble of patrolling the grounds during the night." He said, walking over to the stove and frying a few eggs.

Eä was walking towards her room, casting side-glances to Jocelyn who seemed to have adopted her like a puppy. Or perhaps not, Eä mentally scolded herself, she really had to shake off this cynicism... a long with the over abuse of sarcasm by the way. She pinned the note to her mental notice-board that was already covered in post-its in various bright colours, the Funniest Cartoon Stripes in the world and old movie tickets.
"So how did the match go last night?"

Nurr wondered why people were heading off to bed already. The house was quite empty as she stepped back in after her walk. The day had started nicely, but clouds had rolled in. Shaking some rain off of her hair, Nurr wandered into the library. The air of the room added to the day lent itself to silence. Scanning the shelves, Nurr found Emma by Jane Austen. Having never gotten the chance to finish it, she curled up on the sofa and began reading.
