Eä was extremely curious by nature and this was something she had pondered a while now.
Eä nodded when Jocelyn explained the apple-bobbing again.
"Well, would you all be interested in giving a live demonstration? Then I'll see if I can find Yusef and the apples." She offered.

"Sure, I don't mind giving a demonstration..." Jocelyn nodded, she was always good at these types of games, she remembered when she was little she had to finish a long twizzler, like four feet with her hands behind her back... [true story, we did it in kindergarten as a competetion]

"Great!" She smirked when she saw Kit joining in on the fun. "I'm always up for a little friendly competition..." Wiggling her fingers and making sure her hands were properly tied she walked over to the barrell of apples and searched around for the perfect apple go go for.

Kit glanced at the licorice string that tied her hands together, "Hmm... clever." She mumbled and turned to Jocelyn who had just asked her a question, "Well... there's... not much to it. You've got apples in a bucket. Water. The goal is grab an apple with your mouth and you can't use your hands." She turned around and pulled her hands against the ties, "As we've just handled. So all we really need to do now is dig in on the count of....

Nurr looked around at all the yummy candy and laughed. Scooping up handfuls of Jolly Ranchers (ooh look! blue raspberry!), she nearly dropped them to pounce on the box of Turkish Delight. "I always wanted to try these! They make me think of Edmund and Narnia." Nurr's head whipped around when Kitoky pointed out the rope. "Ah. Well....that's a bit sinister." Continuing to clutch her treats, she joined the others for apple bobbing. "I've never been a fan of doing this myself. I don't mind getting wet, but the thought of grabbing onto apples floating in water after ten other people have tried the same thing..." Nurr shuddered.

Jocelyn nodded and waited for the countdown, once Kit shouted one she lowered her head into the cool water and parted her lips to grasp at one of the apples. Using her nose and forehead she tried to direct the apples to the edge of the barrel, and then when she got it there bit into the red skin as best as she could and lifted her head out of the water. Her dark hair hung wildly and stuck to her neck and cheeks, but she had gotten the apple!

[Yup, licorice... I figured there'd be candy strings among the sweets because then you can proceed to have the eating candy strings on time-contest afterwards!
Wait, are you telling me I can't go to bed before I vote? But... but I can't decide... not fair. *pouts*]
Eä placed herself in front of the two contestants to supervise that none of them would cheat. She was in fact cheering for both like a good impartial referee.

Tripping into the room, Aria smiled broadly and waved to everyone. "Oh, bobbing for apples. Perfect. Except... I shan't be bobbing since if I get my head wet I usually get sick, and my hair takes forever and a <i>day</i> to dry," she paused and gestured to her long, wavy red hair, "And I don't really like apples. But I shall be entertained by all of you having fun."
She sat herself comfortably in an armchair and proceeded to observe the others silently.

Kit had long since dove into the bucket, water filling her nose which was rather hard to ignore. She felt around for the apples since her eyes weren't exactly a help and tucked a red apple against her left cheek. When she tried to bit into it, it slipped and bobbled away to her dismay. "THIS SUCKS." She cried and dove in again.

Jocelyn spit the apple out into the smaller bucket beside her and then dove in again, this time when she tried navigating the apple to the edge of the barrel it didn't work and it kept shifting due to the ripples they were creating with their bobbing. "Gah" She cried out when she came up for a breath, wet hair whipping back before diving in again

Kit picked her head back in and gobbled up an apple whole, while she didn't bite into it. It still counted. She heaved the apple from the bucket and blew the apple off to the side. "Okay, okay. I give up. You win, you win. I can't handle any more water up my nose or I'll feel like Samwise."
