Nienna awoke with a smile on her face. "It's offically trick or treating time." she said to the ceiling, got up and fished through her stuff for a quick costume, grinning as she brought out her blue cloak and riding gear. All excited, she even brought out her bow and emptied her quiver of its contents before bouncing outside to reexplore the Ballroom.

Yusef walked through with buckets of candy and tripped over himself at the sight of the Burger King. Kit turned and gave him a look, "What's gotten you all worked up?" Yusef didn't reply, figuring being employed for a short time is better than not being employed at all.
"These are the last buckets, ma'am. They're going to the Conservatory and the Library." Yusef said, and his face looked as though he was sucking on lemon because he was trying not to laugh.
Kit nodded, which sent the mask of the burger king over her face. "Very good then. Have you locked the way to the morgue?"
"Yes, ma'am."
"Excellent, go on then. Thank you." Kit said and hopped off the stool to open the doors to the neighborhood. "Hope you've got your coats on, the house will be cold for some time." and she skipped away in her white tights.

Indilwen rushed around the bedroom, gathering up all that she needed before the little Trick-or-Treaters arrived. She was wearing a long, comfortable mint green gown, with flowing sleeves. "This should work..." she thought aloud. "Now, my cloak...."
The elf searched around for a few minutes, and finally exited the room with the desired object in hand. She draped the silver cloak over her arm and raced down the stairs as quickly as possible before stopping at the bottom to put it on. After fastening the brooch at her throat, she sauntered toward the main entrance.

Disappointed at not finding any more clues to the deaths, Nienna bounced down to the main entrance.

Kit stood at the entrance of the mansion in her full Burger King glory waiting for kids to come by. As if on cue, a group of youngings walked along the sidewalk and spotted her. Before she could wave her hands to welcome them in, they all let out a big great scream and took off running down the street.
"NOOO!! COME BACK PLEASE! I HAVE CANDIES!!" Kit screamed.

Indilwen smothered a hearty laugh. She sped up a little and went to stand by Kit's side. "Not going too well yet?" she asked, unable to refrain from smiling. "That's why I didn't dress up... not that it hurts to have people in costume or anything... but... maybe with more people here, that'll draw the kiddies in?" she finished, at a loss for what to say. She picked up a bucket of candies and looked inside it. "Mmm..."

"Hey, you got your chance at candy yesterday with the pinata. Those goods are for the kids," Kit teased at the look on Indilwen's face. She then took off her Burger King mask, "I suppose I look friendlier without the creepy smile."
Kit spotted another group of kids, "HELLO!" She waved.
They made their way up the stairs and onto the porch. "Oooh, pretty pumpkins," one of them dressed as Princess Leia exclaimed.
"Aren't they very nice? The guests here carved them." Kit said, and ushered the kids in, "If you guys go around the rooms, and ask all the nice guests I'm sure they'll be happy to give you all candy!"
She winked at a small boy in an obvious Frodo costume. "Don't let the ghosts scare you."

[Gah... I feel with you Fragile Silence... why are Mondays so... Monday-ishly evil???]
Eeek... eek.... eeeerk..... eeeeerrkk...
A dreadful dragging sound came closer and closer. Cold metal on marble floors created this eerie screeching sound.
Eä rounded a corner and looking up she realised she had finally made it to the entrance hall. The noise stopped as it was in fact produced by the huge bucket of candy. Eä had been dragging it all the way from her room led by what sounded like massive swearing from their hostess. She had never done or experienced a proper trick-or-treat, Halloween-deprived as she had been most of her life [It's true and we don't have electricity either and the most common means of transportation is the horse cart.  ]
Even when Eä came so close so she could make out Indilwen in the doorway she still didn't see Kit anywhere, although their hostess' screaming voice soared the air, threathening to reach an unbearbly high-pitched, glass-splintering note. At first glance Eä figured a monster had eaten Kit alive and that's what caused the commotion, but then she realised that Kit was in fact the monster.
"Oh... owh... most interesting..." She muttered, though aloud she asked.
"Alright, I thought the idea was to lure the kids with candy, and lock them up and force-feed them until we were going to eat them.... not to scare them away with... with...?" Fragile stood by the kitchen door with a bucket of candy, waiting for any kids who would pass through the house. She had decided to take up a station near to the tea, just to be certain she didn't fall asleep on the job.
[[Kit, I'm hoping it's alright that I'm by the kitchen instead of upstairs...]]
When she heard Kit welcoming in a few children, she eagerly awaited their arrival. Fragile always had like kids.
The little cavalcade peeked down the hallway leading to the ballroom and the kitchen. "Don't be afraid, come down here!" Fragile said. "I have plenty of candy for all of you."
The children walked over to the door, their eyes widening at the sight of Fragile's large bucket of candy. She scooped out a generous selection for each child, commenting on each of their costumes as she did so. Once each had been served, she sent them on. "There you go! Be sure to check around to all the rooms upstairs - we have lots of guests waiting to give you candy! Enjoy yourselves!"

"Thank you, Miss Pretty Lady!" They all exclaimed before oogling all the treats that they had just received.
Meanwhile, Kit was still heaving in a lot of children into the mansion and with much success except for once when the mother hen of the group didn't trust the Burger King at all and chased her around with her witch's broom. "<i>A true witch, that one...</i>" Kit grumbled while rubbing her backside. She waved to another group of kids and ushered them in.

Bubbles ran downstairs, cursing herself for sleeping in so long. "Candy?" she gasped. "Where are the buckets?"

Tur floated in idly, watching from withiin the entrance as another gaggle of children wlked up. "Well, I was never much for the pastime myslef, but let's see if we can't oblige them, shall we?" He asked, moving to lift the candy bowl, only for his fingers to pass through. "Blast it." He muttered, crossing his arms irritably.

Eä was almost run over by the first attacking wave of ruthless kids with greed painted all over their shiny faces. Eä could handle kids, and she rather enjoyed their company - once a couple of precautions had been settled. She required kids to be absolutely silent, clean and well-behaved and preferably sit in a corner and knit.
She sighed munching a piece of caramel. Eä was already appalled by the trick-or-treating and pondered where she could possibly find some peace and quiet until the troublesome kids had retreated again. She could only think of the morgue. But that kind of deadly silence might be too much. She was at a loss.
"Good day, my jolly Tur, do you need... a hand there?" She asked as Tur floated by.

"Funny." Tur said, turning to Ea, remembering her accusations. "And, no, thank you Ea, unless you can be certain that my evil ghost twin didn't kill me with a cyanide dart hidded in my Webley grip." He hised sarcastically, floating away.
