^I think that's a fair argument, definitely, and I agree with you.

I said Legolas. He isn't a main part, but you get to know him much more than you know Haldir.

I like them both, but I'd have to say Legolas simply because we know more about him.
Movie!Haldir definitely makes it hard to choose though.

hm it was a hard choice, but I choose Legolas.
I like the way of friendship between Gimli and Legolas. there friends, but still competetive (I am the best! noo... I am )
and I like the young look of legolas while he is pretty old, in my view. but he also doesn't act like ' ha! i'm an elf, im better than you!' (so in that I completly agree with Aerlinn)
Haldir looks much older, but I really like it when he comes with an army to help Theoden. he died there, so no undying lands for him
(am i right in that? I mean, if a elf dies, the elf doesn't go to the undying lands? I mean, its pretty strange to be dead in a "undying land".)
yeah, there both cool, but just one could have my vote.

Automatically, my first response would be Legolas, but that is pretty much only because for one thing--HEY, PEOPLE, HE IS PLAYED BY ORLANDO BLOOM FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! What's not to love? And besides, Tolkien did help us understand Legolas more as a character but if perhaps the author had elaborated a bit more on Haldir I suppose I would like him too, but not as much as Legolas

After a bit of thought I also support Legolas. No, I'm not a rabid fangirl either, I even told my babysitter Orlando Bloom was stupid when I was younger (she liked him a lot). I wasn't really ever into Haldir in the books, which I am more true to than the movies even though the movies are one of the best book-film adaptations I have ever seen, but definitely yes in the movies he was amazing. But you have to think how little a part Haldir plays in the series and Legolas is pretty darn important. Not like, say, Frodo and Sam and them, but still, you get what I mean.

I love Legolas, (and not just because he's pretty ), and he's probably my favorite of all the characters. He's so kind, but quiet, but intelligent, but he could kill you with one finger. lol
He also shows himself to be a loyal friend and would easily give his life for the mission they are on.
Buuuuuuut, i cried when Haldir died. I may have loved him just as much if his character had been more elaborated. I guess I'm just an elf fan.

I love how everyone was talking about the movie versions of these two characters when this topic was clearly made under The Two Towers BOOK discussion section.
