Don't compare the movie to the book... if you do that then the movie was quite brilliant... I guess I am alone in this thinking though -sigh-

Hahaha, I laughed at the M. Night reference.
But yeah, I laughed through most of Twilight too. But I still liked the movie, overall.
And no, Eragon was not a good movie, even WITHOUT comparing it the book. It was awful.

I just saw the movie a couple nights ago. I don't think I would have liked it that much, had all the men not been the epitomy of attractive. Even Jacob! I liked him in the book, yes, but I was so afraid that I wouldn't be able to look at him without snickering and thinking of Shark-boy. Especially Carlisle. I didn't really care for him in the book, but I absolutely loved him in the movie.
Does anyone know if they're going to make the other books into movies?

They're planning to do New Moon... after that, obviously, we don't know, but I think they will. There's only four books. They're already on movie 6 of HP, so I don't think it would be a stretch to anticipate (two) more Twilight movies.

Filming begins in May 2009 I believe. The screenplay is being developed right now.
And Eragon holds a very special place in my heart.. *Dramatic*

Actually, I saw something that was talking about Rob Pattinson (I think it was in People Mag or on the Twilight Wiki) that said he's signed on to do Eclipse, as well.
I went to see the movie again today. Even better second time around, although there was some woman in the theatre that cackled very unattractively at a few parts.
Cringe-worthy biology scene (and the scenes before/after it) were... still cringe-worthy. Once Bella figures out the truth I think it gets less awkward.

Sounds like something my friends and I would do. We are the ones who are sitting a few rows away being really annoying. I missed a few lines because of my friends. (not that they were really good anyway)
Twilight = Awkward

I thought it was better the second time, but the AwkwardTurtle moments didn't get any better. The beginning was a bit... awkward, but I thought it got better towards the end.
I'm just mad that they didn't have Edward's Aston Martin. That would've made the movie for me.

Eragon was pretty corny, the beginning anyway, and i have only read about half of the book, it was ok i guess... idk anyone else think it sounded like a fanfic of LotR??
well this is about twilight, and itcannot wait at all to see it in about a week. i've read the first 3 books and thought they were completely awesome. i requested a twilight banner/sig also. IDK, Robert Pattinson sounds really good for the part of Edward!

Mmmm, I'd say it was pretty good, didn't turn out to be the major disappointment I thought it would be. x] Love the soundtrack lots though.

I reallly enjoyed the movie. The awkward moments were almost unbearable... but without comparing it to the book it was great! I was pleasantly surprised.
There were some scenes from the book that I wish so bad would have been in the movie... but thats the way it is with all movies I guess.
Oh, and when I took my boyfriend to go see it he actually said that for a movie (and he's never read the books) that it was good. ^.^
There's my two-cents.

I'm neither here nor there on the soundtrack. Like, I love a majority of the songs, but then they put Supermassive Black Hole on the soundtrack, and that was a serious "huhwha?"moment for me.
Anyway, I agree about the general consensus. Good movie, with brief moments of unbearable awkwardness.
