I "sword fight" with my brother all the time. Though it's with little plastic swords, and he's seven and only goes back and forth, lol! But, plastic samuri swords, and lightsabers hurt... I've got over 40 scars on my hands from that and my cat. At the moment I have about 10 cuts on my hands from a feriety of things... cat, toy sword, barbed wire, thorns from plants in the woods.... lol! When I'm bored I pick at them, which is a terrible habbit.

Yeah, same, I've got TONS of scars from this and that... one is from when we were playing ManHunt and I ran into the metal thing sticking out of the back of a trailer... that was painful... and I have a really cool triangle cat scratch one from a few different times on my arm... and on my wrist I have 2 that are kinda raised... :P

I'd better get offline... I'm transposing guitar tablature to a score for some friends... and it's gonna take a while.

I'd love to get muddy, unfortunately, last time I did so my mother got mad at me because I ruined a perfectly good outfit with Georgia red clay...

Yay! A new member!! Welcome!! Well for those of you that don't know. I play ice hockey and LOVE IT. It's so much fun :-D This year I actually tired out for the varsity football team!! It was so much fun, even though we had a 3-10 season  It was definately worth it though and I'm in ice hockey season now.

Sorry, I pop in... but I noticed your banner LoR. I know I live in a snow and ice-deprived country and I'm so pathetically winter sport-ignorant so please don't take it as a prejudist stand. :-) But I have never ever seen girls play ice hockey. Is there a professional hockey league for women? And how come I never knew? I mean I suppose it isn't big in the media? Is there simply too few females to play ice hockey in general, and why?

Well..the only women's team I know of is the Olympic team and obviously some colleges have women's teams. No, unfortunately I think men's ice hockey is more dominant. I don't think that there's too few females that play. It's just a more men dominated sport. You have to be pretty tough to play ice hockey, I think that's part of the reason why there aren't alot of girls in it. You have to have a life long tolerance for pain.

Really?? There isn't a women's league???? Not even in the US?? How about Canada, do you know??? That's so unusual. I can imangine it's a tough sport (to me it looks like fighting!) but so is boxing and there are many female boxers, or well not many, but there are some professionals.

And now we're on it. How about football? Do women play football or would it be more like.. what do you call it??? The other 'softer' form for football?

I have no idea xD Well...yes there is some fighting involved and you can get alot of broken noses and stuff and you can get hit in face with the puck or a stick.

I played on the varsity football team this year and I was the only girl. I was expected to do the same stuff the guys were. I didn't mind. I was a wide reciever and they get banged up pretty hard. I had some pretty hard hits brought on me, I just shook them off though. My school has a powder puff team in the spring. I don't join though cause its not the real thing.

Okay, yeah I see. I've never seen an entire ice hockey match... only the clip with the goals or when they start a mass fight! So I might have gotten the wrong impression of the sport!

You do sound pretty tough, I've always wanted to play football, just for fun though, but sometimes it's fun to be physical! :-)
Powder puff?? Sounds like magical fairy dust - or a breakfast cereal!

You HAVE to watch a whole game sometime. It's so exciting!! You'll get hooked, believe me :-D I remember sitting in front of the TV when I was 3 and I was watching my favorite teams play (Pittsburgh Penguins and the Chicago Blackhawks) and I was like I want to be just like them someday!!. I've been playing for 14 years.

I guess you could say I am pretty tough. I love all the rough sports. I've played rugby before too and in that you don't wear any pads at all. Haha, it does sounds like a cereal!!!
