^^ I'm getting tired of AI, and I'm getting tired of Adam. He's just ok, imo. He's got great entertainment value but his voice isn't on the same level. He screams too much.

Anyway.

Fringe [1x20]: There's More Than One of Everything

Ok. I'm going to be a Fringe fangirl for a moment. This show is really interesting. Last night was the season finale, and it played out the idea of parallel universes that had been brought up earlier in the season. It talked about deja vu and how stuff that seems familiar really did happen in a parallel universe. This culminated in the show's main character (Agent Olivia Dunham) finally meeting the elusive man behind the technology allowing lots of weird things to happen- but he's in the parallel universe. On his desk is a newspaper saying that the Obamas were moving into the new White House. The last scene was the camera panning out of the office showing what building said office was in- the World Trade Center. It really made me think, what would the world be like now if 9/11 hadn't happened? How many things would be different, especially in the political arena?

Lots of food for thought.

Well now that it's down to Adam and Kris, I'm hoping Kris will win, though I don't have a lot of faith in that outcome. I think the judges/the powers that be on AI chose Adam as the winner several weeks ago. Maybe from the start. The judges are always singing his praises and say he put in a perfect performance, blah blah blah, even when his performance was only mediocre. I'm pretty sure they also think the sun shines out of his ass.

The morning radio show I listen to plays recaps of what was sung on AI the night before, and a good indicator of marketability is how they sound on the radio. Kris has a Jason Mraz-ish sound- I guess the alternative-style sound. I think he'll probably go the route of Elliot Yamin or Clay Aiken, with a hit song or two (or maybe more) on the radio. However, it seems like only the girls really hit it big (Chris Daughtry excluded)- Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Jordin Sparks (to an extent)... yeah.

Adam's style doesn't translate to radio very well. My mom said he'd probably do better on tour- where he can utilise his flair for the dramatic and put on a good performance. Where his charisma and the visual of his performance outweighs the vocals. But his voice alone = no thanks. I told my mom that if Adam was on the radio, I'd change the station.

I think he's like David A. last season. I liked him at first, because he's talented, but I quickly became annoyed with him. Adam also seems rather arrogant at times- the whole, "I talented and I know it, and the judges are just reinforcing my belief" thing gets old fast and turns me off.

I'm tired of AI in general. That might be influencing my views a little. I'm ready for SYTYCD to start! Next Thursday
