The Horseman struggles to pull Ea to a chair, as his own legs were unsteady. He had not yet recovered from the shock of seeing Hostess Kit dead, and the thought of her being able to zoom anywhere as a ghost, with her temper, was not a nice thought.
"I almost pity the killer" he thought to himself.

Realising how inconvenient solving murder mysteries was when unconscious, Eä determinedly decided to wake up as her curiosity took over.
She nodded her thanks to The Horseman and turned her full attention to their dear hostess' ghostly form.
"Umm, that was kind of... unexpected.. what happened?"

At the sight of Kit, the collie halted her barking and started giving a whimpering sound, but her tail wagged just a bit.
"You tried, Lassie," Kit said to the dog, and tried to pat her head. "That's all I could've asked."
"Honestly," she turned to her guests. "When a rough collie comes running to you barking her head off, that always means someone's <i>fallen in a well</i>. It doesn't even have to be someone named Timmy. I had hoped she would get here on time so someone could save me, but I drowned. So thanks for that."

The Horseman looked at Kit as Ea asked the question. The suspense coupled with the dog barking, was terrible.
When Kit answered with her usual blunteness, The Horseman asked. "But did you fall in... or were you pushed?" he said, thinking to himself it would not have been hard as she was so... *ahem*...

The Horseman noticed Sparkle, and instinctively moved towards her. He didn't know why, but he thought it was the right thing to do and he always did the right thing.

Eä studied Kit's ghostly form with geniune interest.

Sparkle grabbed the Horseman's hand, as she was in so much shock that the invincible Hostess had died, that she did not notice what she was doing.
"But what on earth did you do by a well Kit?" she asked in a tone which said that it was highly suspicious that the Hostess of a spooky mansion was spending time at a well.

[I did think it was a Lassie reference, but still... the barking at the well was what made me suspicious not the breed of dog.]
"That will be a hard task" said The Horseman, thinking about finding something so small in something so big. He then noticed that someone had grabbed his hand, and looking down he saw it was Sparkle's. She was so engrossed with the event that was unfolding, that he didn't want to disturb her and he wondered why he would want to anyway.

Kit pondered Ea's suggestion, "I think I'd like that. Although I don't think I particularly want to see myself dead, so... let's say no. Just leave me in a well so I can be the next Samara, minus the horses and the video tape of doom."
She turned to the Horseman though, who had somehow made his way next to Sparkle upon her arrival. Kit simply rolled her eyes. "I suppose I should've cut off the margaritas after the 8th shot, but it's a <i>party</i>, of course so I had to go on. Besides, Hobbits like to drink and smoke and all that nonsense. I had wandered outside and just kept walking until I discovered a well, and wells are rather fascinating, you see. With all the stones and then there's the whole big giant hole and at the end of the hole, at the very bottom, there's water and I never really knew how that worked other than the fact that there's no dirt in this water at all. So I was thinking about how the water had no dirt, because it was clear that the hole went straight into the ground! I had thought and thought and thought until I just decided that the world's all a wonder (because let's face it, what <i>are</i> we in life, anyway?) and then I was reminded of a very well-on quote I hear quite alot and hadn't understood what it meant until that moment. Ever hear people say, <i>"All the world's a stage and all the men and women merely players"</i>? I know what it means now! It means we're insignificant to the vast universe!!"
And Kit was done.

Eä held her breath awaiting Kit's reply... until she turned blue.....
And when their dear hostess was done, she still found herself lost for words (so Eä kept quiet until someone else posted something).

The Horseman listened patiently to Kit, wondering where amongst all that waffle was the answer to his question, so with Sparkle still beside him, he moved closer to Kit.
"So... did you fall or were you pushed?" he repeated with a slightt edge in his voice.

Kit sighed, disheartened that no one had praised her for her philosophical genius.
"I was pushed," she answered. "Although it oughtn't be a hard thing to do in general, let alone over and into a well." She crossed her arms begrudgingly.

Sparkle blinked at Kit. "I think the margarita's are still affecting her.." she whispered silently to the one who stood next to her and it happened to be the Horseman. Upon discovering that she held his hand, or rather she seemed to crumble his hand, she immediately let go while her face colored red.

"How many times people have tried to push another being over something, and thus exerted much stregnth and effort to the point of asking themselves was it all worth it, and here you were, all neat and small, the perfect size to shove over anything" he finished with a smile-that-was-there-but-no-one-could-see-it.
"I agree" said The Horseman looking down at Sparkle, just as she suddnely let go of his hand. He wondered if he had offended her, as her reaction was so quick, and he felt a little disappointed that he may have done so.
