"I shall look to see if I can read Northanger Abbey at your specific request, Ea," Kit nodded and snickered at a comment of Mr. Bennett's in the novel.

"Marianne!?" Kitty exclaimed. "She annoyed me to death. Though I did love the book as a whole."

PD chewed on her lower lip to keep from grinning at the Horseman's response. "Of course," she finally managed to say.

"I have a friend that doesn't like Marianne, but that's because she thinks you should keep your feelings hidden. Anyway...I wonder if our killer like Jane Austen. That would put a damper on my joy every time I read one of her books," Susy said looking around at the group. They had the strangest conversations in this secret closet.

"Well, actually, I have a male friend who reads Austen for pleasure. He is an English major but I once had a P&P the BBC series marathon with him."
For a change Eä felt absolutely girly and couldn't help letting out a *Squeee* in excitement.

"I don't know too many people here who specifically said they enjoyed Jane Austen books," PD commented in reply to Susy. "Just one... I think."

"Ahem" said The Horseman. "At least Emma admitted her faults and recognised she had to change... unlike most women or are just silly and remain silly and never see themselves as silly" he added.
"And I also don't see why 16 years difference in age is such a big thing" he said with a sniff.
[but that's probably more to do with the fact I like older men... so... yeah... JF out]

"In truth, love should know no age," Kit said sagely, and you must heed Kit's words when she describes it as 'sagely', because she doesn't do this very often.

"How very true" said The Horseman nodding approvingly at Kit's comments.
"Although I do have my doubts about the young blonde with the rich 87 year old" he mused.

"Perhaps love knows no age but the victims of love should definitely know something - and for heavens sake don't loose their judgement!"
"Seriously!"
Eä pulled out the book she was currently reading and and made her way through ghosts and humans alike to get to PD's comfy chair.
[And yes, I'm off for the night.]

"Well, it only happens when the old fellow has a great many dollar signs and no children, so it's not very complicated to figure that it's not really love that's binding them together," Kit said and she went onto read of the Bennett sisters seeing and meeting The Bingleys and Mr. Darcy for the first time.

"My brother thinks I'm odd because I enjoyed Mansfield Park," offered Deria. "Sense and Sensibility was all right, I guess. I suppose Pride and Prejudice was my favorite...

"I should really read more of Ms. Austen's novels," PD mused as she listened to the others talk.

Morfinneth looked over at PD. "I should too," she replied. "But I suppose I am too lazy to do so seeing is how some have become movies and I'd much rather watch them instead."

"But you do miss so much when you just watch the movie instead of the novel it's adapted from," PD commented, "movies can never quite compare to the books... at least I've never met a movie that could."

"She has written some excellent books" said The Horseman. "I like them all" he added.
[lol, we're waiting for my dad to come in from work, and I hear a car door outside, so I'm thinking it may be a taxi. Minutes go by and no dad, so I say to my mum "it must have been a red--- er.. false alarm XD]
