You either hate the original and like the new ones, you love the originals and hate the new ones, you like them both, you like them both and love the new one like there's no tomorrow, you like them both and love the new one like there's no tomorrow but then decide the guy who was the awesome writer to begin with is the worst thing ever. [and seriously, over here he was deemed like the Second Coming or something]
As someone who can't stand Doctor Who and I really don't care about it, it's very strange hearing so many different opinions about it in the UK, when it's puffed up and advertised like you wouldn't think the BBC made anything else, and yet the fans do seem to get more divided each year. [scratches head]
Ok, I'm done with my little post of unbridled curiosity.

Well, I love the new ones, and then I love the originals with 5th, 7th, and 8th. I haven't seen any before 4th, but I wasn't a fan, and 6th was just a jerk. In my opinion to RTD, I have a serious love/hate relationship with him. Because he does so many things that are just brilliant, and then he does stupid things on finales (what I call his big bag of "eff you, audience") where he breaks all of his own freaking laws and kills characters just because he can. So, yeah.
ANYWAY.
