I'm excited for this. So far, it looks to be very professional and well-done, despite what must have been a small budget. Some of the actors actually look closer to my original vision of the characters than the ones in Peter Jackson's trilogy.

It's online now. I watched about half of it last night, but my computer was going slow so I am going to watch the rest today. It's incredibly well done!!!

I just watched it and was surprised at the quality, it was pretty awesome and I can't believe that did that free for all of the fans. It was a great way to get back into the spirit of LotR and learn more about what happened just before LotR started..

I watched it and was impressed with it. Some very impressive fans. I think the guy did every well playing Aragorn. I will admit I like Viggo better, but the guy did very well. They should all be proud of what they did.

I saw the film. And I wasn't quite sure what to expect but I thought it was really grand. Okay, since I'm a cynic, let's get the bad things over with. Aragorn seemed to have only one expression throughout the entire film. Which was not really shiny for me. Gandalf...looked funny to me as well.

On the good things, the action scenes were really impressive. The dialogue was great especially between the two Orcs. It actually did sound like what Orcs would argue about. Gollum was fantastic. At first, I wasn't quite sure what he would be like but I was impressed. The costumes were just amazing for everyone. I wonder how long the production took. And I sincerely applaud the cast whom I'm sure weren't paid and yet put on those prosthetics.

Also, can anyone believe it was all done for under $5,000? That's just..wow.

Yeah, I watched it as well... I thought it was very well done for a fan film! I appreciated that they kept it very close to Tolkien lore and as far as I know kept pretty much to the story as how it happened (Though I don't know that Tolkien went into in-depth detail about that part... ) *shrugs*

I found it interesting, actually. The actors didn't excatly look like the actors in the movie itself, but really that can either be good or bad, depending on how one looks at it. And the storyline was decent. In any case there was obvously a lot of hard work put into it, and I'll admit that I find it admirable, but I don't think I could find myslef watching it multiple times. Once is enough in this case, thank you very much. (exceptforthesceneswithGolluminit. :) )
