Niko stirred, not entirely sure why he had woken. He let out a cry as he felt a blinding pain in his arm.Looking over he saw that it was hanging out of the covers, the sun appearing to burn it. He ducked his body under the covers, only his head peeking out, just away from the sunlight.

She woke up with a start as Niko cried out, struggling and falling out of bed with a thump. She picked herself up and noticed Niko under the covers, and looked in confusion, yet soon realized what it was and shut the blinds tightly "Niko! Are you alright?" she crept to the side of the bed and laid her hand on his forehead.

Slowly, he peeked out and saw she had pulled down the blinds. He let out a deep breath and relaxed. He was now vulnerable to sunlight. ''I'm fine'' he said shakily. What was he suppose to do?

She reached out and held his hand, knowing where is thoughts were going. "We'll figure something out." she whispered before kissing his hand. She looked down and grimaced when she saw she was still in her bloodied dress. She then remembered his wounds and gently unwrapped the bandages to reveal smooth, unmarred skin. She was shocked as she ran her hand over the place, hardly believing what she saw and felt.

His comfort from her touch, turned to shock as he found no trace of his wound from the day before. He reached over and took his sword and ran it across his palm, cutting it. His jaw dropped as it healed before his very eyes. He was almost invincible.

She stared. It was amazing, the way he healed "You..." she said slowly, unable to finish her thought as her eyes scanned his hand for any sign of the wound. There was none. She lit a candle to brighten the room a bit, shaking her head to herself, still finding it hard to believe it.

He was in awe. But soon his thoughts turned back to the sunlight. ''What are we to do? Vampyres are not meant for sunlight.'' He wondered if there was anything he could do. Surely there was something or someone that could help.

"I'll talk to that she-elf about it. She seemed quite knowledgeable." she went and took off her dress, replacing it with a red one. She went back to the bed and leaned over, giving his forehead a kiss. "I'll go about the house before I leave and draw all the blinds."

He nodded in agreement. ''Thank you'' He stood and drank what ale he had, pondering his predicament. He couldn't imagine not being able to go out in the sun again.
(Btw I think their quest for whatever it is they need to help him should take them out of Rivendell. Do you agree?)

(you read my mind...the question is to where...hehe)
She nodded and went to do as she said, pondering as well. She wished him to be able to go out in the sunlight as well. She went to find the she-elf, and asked her what they could do.
"You must find a ring. A ring of sunlight, that will allow him out in the day again." she said, appearing troubled. "it is not in Rivendell..." "Then where?" The woman spoke again "There is a wizard who lives along the coast. He can make one for you." Nienna nodded,"Thank you." she began walking home. How would they do that? Travel only at night, she imagined, but what were they to do in the daylight?

Niko waited patiently for her to return, hoping for good news. What if there was no way? He would have to be confined to his house in the daytime. He prayed there would be a way.

She got back and slowly walked up the stairs to the too , not sure of how to phrase her words. She tapped on the door softly. "Niko?"

He opened the door and let her in, closing it behind her. Taking a deep breath he spoke, preparing himself. ''What did she say?'' He was not sure he liked the look on her face.

"We need a ring..." she said slowly, then proceeded to tell him the rest. "I just do not see how we can travel, she turned and hugged herself as she spoke, rubbing her upper arms with her hands.

He listened to her and began to think slowly. He suddenly had an idea. Throwing his cloak completely over him he spoke to Nienna. ''Open one of the blinds'' The blanket had shielded him so it would make sense the cloak would be able to.

She hesitated, then did as he said, squeezing her eyes shut. But no scream came, she looked up. The cloak seemed to be working! She put her hands over her mouth and still waited. What about prolonged exposure?
(gotta poof for an hour and a half at least...be back soon!)
