She couldn't help the tears that came again as he kissed her. Why was he saying this? She didn't understand. By all rights he should have reacted differently.

She trembled slightly in his arms, still overcome with emotion. And nausea, as it were. She gratefully took comfort from his arms around her. The guilt did not dissipate. Her face went into his shoulder.

her arm moved to embrace him. She didn't know what to think now. But she did need him right then, and while she could and while he was offering she would take the comfort.

She groaned at that. "That's not fair." suddenly she felt an odd sensation, like a fluttering. She frowned, that couldn't be...it wasn't possible. She put a hand there. How could she be that far along? She was imagining things.
