This is my pirate RPG. Everyone is welcomed to join! ^^

Joana Starky was unsure where the tavern is. She was lost in this place, as she never was in this town. And for her bad luck, no inns at her way and everyone's know that the best crew recruiting happens in taverns.
She wasn't wanted in this place yet, her face wasn't on the house walls, but only because governer Ratkey didn't know she is recruiting new crew. After he sank her last ship, he was sure she is dead.
At last! She saw the inn's door before she got lost for good. The place was tidy and rather pretty and if she heard well, nobody was killing anybody right now. Good sign.
She entered the tavern and stepped to the contuar. In the corner she saw few people but inn was almost empty. That was BAD sign.
"May I get some rum?" she asked. Best thing in the morning - drunk yourself and everything will be look better...oh, irony of fortune.

Raina emerged from the kitchen. Filling up a mug, she handed it to the woman.
Once back in the kitchen, her employer tossed her a mop. "I want these floors shiny enough that I can see my own reflection." he said. Raina smiled inwardly. That would never happen, but at least it would get her away from waiting on tables.

Joana was sipping her rum slowly, as she was lost in thoughts. If Ratkey is clever (and he was), he will know soon where she is. She had to go aboard in one week time if she wants to be safe.
She looked at the woman cleaning floor.
"Is it always so empty?" she asked lightly with a false humor in her voice. She really had hope that the answer will be "no".

Raina turned at the sound of the women's voice. "No. Only in the morning. About five o'clock we're packed!" She smiled slightly.

"I guess this is a lot of work" Joana smiled. "I am able to feel good only on the open sea. Even nice taverns like this are like prison to me. Did you ever were on open sea?"
She didn't know why she is telling all that to this woman. Maybe she didn't talk to someone too long? When her ship sank she spent one year on a island without any human to speak with.

"It's like you have always been prisoner on land and became free on sea" said Joana, taking sip of rum. "I found my destiny at sea. I am aboard ships since I was a kid and nothing can compare with smell of salty water."
---
At the same time Jonah Grandes entered inn. He was already quite drunk because he was drinking with some old sailors in the corner of street. He didn't want to drink further but felt that he want to make a little mess somewhere. He saw few customers near the entrance and laughed ugly.
"What I see, landrubbers!" he shouted. "Get out from this place, I want to seat my old ass down!"
He had plenty of space but he wanted to hit someone in face or worse.

"Would you like me to take care of him?" Joana smiled lightly to barmaid and looked suspiciously at drunken man. Hey, she had it coming, she always was meeting one or two before, in previous life...

"Please?" Raina said. She watched the drunk stagger across the room. It was going to be a long day.

Joana came closer to drunk man and patted him on the shoulder when he was turned back to her. Grandes didn't notice it or pretended he didn't notice and tried to throw the customer out of his seat.
"I really would prefer to not make you bleed" said Joana with calm voice. Grandes turned slowly with a ugly smile on his face.
"And what, you kill me?" he asked with amused voice. "You couldn't harm a fly, lass, not mentioning old sailor." Joana only smiled at that.
"Barmaid!" Jonah shouted to Raina and moved to her a little. "Give me more rum, while I will take care of this stupid woman."

"I'd rather not." she said, but moved to comply. This was the fifth day in a row that a drunk had stumbled in. She was not getting used to it.

"You see dear, I am jobless. And when I am jobless, I drink" Grandes said with and ugly smiled to Joana. "And when I drink I can't stand lasses that interrupt me."
He took the dagger from the left boot and threw it in the air, catching it by handle.
"I am maybe drunk but I can aim pretty well!"
Joana smiled lightly and winked to Raina.
"Don't worry, you don't need to give him more rum. And I won't battle here and destroy your tavern. I think I will give him a job he wants and he will stop drinking."

Ravast Theo was looking at the small quarrel from the darkness of his corner of tavern. He was drinking ale and was amused how the drunk man shows up. He moved to the Raina and stood near her with a wide smile. "What do you think, they will kill each other, or that woman really will give him a job?"
