Clayton was the best guitar picked in town,
I remember when I used to follow Clayton around.
He'd tell me, "Son you better put that old guitar away...
There ain't no money in it and it'll lead ya to an early grave."

I remember the year Clayton Delayne Died--- Tom T. Hall

My Nashvile friends think I'm strange to make my home out on the range.
They think it's nothig but a God forsaken land.

They say, "Why don't you bring your guitar and family, and move on down to Tennessee."

I just smile because they don't understand. Butnif they wver saw a sunrise on a mountain morning, or watched those cotton candy clouds go by. They'd know why, I live, beneath these weatern skies.

I got peace of mind and elbow room, I love the smell of sahe in bloom, I'll catch a rainbow on my fishig line. We've got county fairs and rodeos, there's not a better place for my kids to grow, just turn 'em loose in the western summer time...

(Ok... A bit more than a "line" but I love these words! Feom Chrus Ledoux-- Western Skies
