It's easy to read Hawaiian. You break down the words into their syllables.
Here's a good example: King Kamehameha I was the founder and first ruler of the Kingdom of Hawai'i.
So, if we break down the syllables we have: Kah May Hah May Ha.
Basically:
A is Ah
E is a long A
I is a long E
O is either Oh or Oo
U is Oo
A place we like to snorkel in is Kahalu'u Bay on the other side of the island.
Kah Ha Loo Oo
See? It's easy. And when you say it out loud, it's rather sing-song, and with a Hawaiian accent, it's lovely. That's cool.  I've always liked the way their language sounds and wished I could learn it at one point or visit there etc... Maybe some day... at least visit. Not so sure about learning the actual language.
