I like the game Gimli and Legolas play throughout the Battle at Helms Deep.

Legolas:Final count, 42
Gimli:Not bad for a pointy-eared Elvish princeling..........you know the rest I hope...........tee hee.........I loooooooooove it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah Gimili sure is the comedic relief in this film. i love the part when aragron throws him. lol

TTT is so funny! The more I see it the more I laugh! Gimli wasn't that funny in FotR, was he? In TTT and also in RotK he makes me laugh all the time!

Yeah- his role became a lot funnier in TTT and ROTK.

Other funny parts:

Treebeard: "I have told your names to the ent moot and we have agreed: you are not Orcs." I just love Treebeard's expression after and the look of dismay on Merry's face.

I also liked the part when Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli were tracking the Uruks and Gimli had a hard time keeping up.


Sméagol: "Oh yes we could. Ssspoiling nice fish! Give it to us raw and wwwriggling. You keep nasty chips!"
Sam: "You're hopeless."
(I just love that whole scene)

ok i know this isnt relevant to his topic well it is but i love the part in FOTC when Gandalf is like "Throw yourself in next time Peregrin Took and rid us of your stupidity."

Yup, Linwë made it for a contest and I claimed it afterwards!!I might ask Linwë for the url if she registers here.... or maybe I am meant to get a new banner for variation *listens carefully to figure out whether Destiny tries to tell her something*

By the way, we should have a 'funny lines/moments' for the books too. The humor in the movies is mostly made up by PJ and the actors because it is so visual, could be fun to give Tolkien credit for his entertaining moments.... I would post a thread in the Book discussion but miserable me can't even think of one thing that made me giggle in the books *blushes and hides behind desk*

I like the part in the extended edition with Eowyns stew. The look of disgust on Aragorn's face is priceless!!
When I was watching it with my family my dad was like "Hey, she's stolen that guy's (Sam's) stew!! Look at her!! THIEF!!" and that just makes it even funnier to me...

Yeah I love that part too.

I also liked the part in the EE when Gimli says "The new Gandalf is even grumpier than the old one" (or something like that)

ttt is such a funny movie. Everybody has already said all of the funny scenes!
