Yes, I will agree that all of that was a little startling but the part in the FOTR that scared me was when Bilbo went all evil when Frodo wouldn't let him have the ring. I was at a sleepover party with my friend and her sister, when that part was about to begin, i told them i had to go to the bathroom but i just didn't want to see that part. My friend told me that she had to go too, but she went to the downstairs bathroom. When I thought the part was over, i went back to her bedroom where we were watching the movie. Her little sister said to me before I walked in "Hey, i paused you favorite part". i looked at the screen and she had paused the part that i was trying to get away from. When my friend came back to the room, i was leaned up against the door, away from the tv, shaking. 4 scenes and 3 cups of Chamomille tea later, i was fine. But ANYONE who thinks that was the scariest part in the movie, say AYE!

I was really startled the first time and the second, not so much the third (a little thrill, nothing else). Just like when Gandalf goes to pick up the ring and there's the quick flash of the Eye. But now that I've seen the movie so many times, it just doesn't really affect me anymore.

That part did startle me a bit as it did not seem like Bilbo to act that way. But I wasn't completely scared out of myy wits by it...

I nearly had an accident when I saw that part....:confused2: I was in the theater, and it was really loud, and I was sitting REALLY close to the screen. I had to overload myself with images of Elrond to get over it afterward. :)
