Fiona looked at him, he was closer, she could see deep into his eyes, as if they were peat bogs from Bodmin Moor, she could stay staring at them forever, sinking in deeper and deeper with every second, slowly she felt the tears stop, though her face was still wet from all the crying.
She could feel his breath on her face, it was sweet and seemed familier almost, within seconds their lips met, his tenderness made her heart flutter, she forgot everything - Peter Pettigrew, the letter to St.Mungo's, even her own family and name!
She saw fireworks, music in the background, it seemed like a romantic novel, but it was real, this was the kiss every girl dreamed of.

Remus's lips lingered on hers for a while, tender and respectful. One hand stroked her hair as the other pressed her to him. He could feel her against her, a warm presence in the chill of the owlery. He smiled through the kiss, and just when his demeanor was about to change from respectful to passionate, he caught himself and withdrew.

Still smiling faintly, he brushed her tears away. What lovely eyes she had, even swollen for all her weeping.

Lily looked at James. She couldn't bear it if anything were to happen to him. She looked up into his hazel eyes, and smiled. Tears were still running down her cheeks, but just to be here with James holding her was like in a dream.

Fiona felt Remus pull away from her, she closed her eyes and let him wipe away her tears, she opened them, feeling his gentle touch on her face, on her head, as he held her close to him.
She couldn't help but smile, she looked awful, her hair was limp and dull like, her face was all puffy from all the crying she had done, and her dress was beyond help. She recalled the memory of the kiss, it was wonderfull, and she had a feeling it could have gone further if he hadn't pulled away.
She smiled faintly, the night seemed to have gone from fantastic to dramatic, all the way back to fantastic maybe even beyond that.

She stood standing their in his embrace, for what seemed like eternity, she knew they had to go back, to make sure Peter was well, but somthing held her back; A tiny voice saying "Why should Pettigrew ruin what was a wonderful night, why should he ruin this moment of happiness for you?"

She bowed her head, and pulled slightly away from Remus, she knew the friendship he and Peter had, and she'd rather have him happy and be miserable herself, then her be happy and him miserable. She took a deep breath and looked at Remus.
"Lets get back, Peter still needs as much help as he can get" she said, slipping her hand into his.

Without thinking what she was doing. Lily kissed him. Lliy was fullly aware of people staring - but she didn't care...

For a second James just looked at Lilly's smiling face. He knew that he was supposed to return the smile. But he just couldn't. His thoughts were still somewhere with Peter in the hospital wing. Still, when he saw her face, right in front of his, this large problem started slowly fading.
Suddenly, she leaned in and pressed her lips against his own. For a moment he was too scocked to do anything. But then his eyes instictively closed and his grip around her tightened. He waited for this for so long.

Sirius turned away, he felt disgusted at Peter, he had always been a pratt, he sighed and turned away, Fiona and Remus had disappeared, and Lily and James were busy.
He turned his direction for outside, he needed to clear his head, he walked slowly across the lawn, hands in his pockets, head bent against the chilling wind. Slowly he entered the forest, the only place that seemed like home at times, he kicked a stone before looking up at the leafy canopy above him.
At least one good thing came out of tonight! he thought to himself, thinking backt o Danni and the kiss.
She was the best thing that had happened to him since he came to Hogwarts, since then he had left home and lost touch with his idiotc family.

Dani shook her hair out after she took it down. It felt good to be back in her "t-shirt and pants" pajama set. She remembered the earlier night's events...and the kiss. She sighed, and noticed a movement on the grounds in the mirror. She turned and went to the window. Sirius. She sighed, then turned back to her bed. She'd let him do what he did - it wasn't her business.

It seemed like a lifetime until they broke apart. Lily carried on staring at him. She had waited so long...
"We...er...er...We should be...er... getting upstairs, it's getting late..." she said.

James just softly leaned back on the wall behind himself. His eyes were still closed and he was comlitely unaware of anything what was going on around him. Her voice called him back to reality again and he nodded.
"You are probably right." he said but remained perfectly still.

Sirius stood momentarilly, taking in the silence, how the taste of chaos from the school was gone, just the peace and calamity of it all seemed to soothe Sirius.
He took a step forward, instantly changing into a dog, he bounded forward letting out a small yelp, he had his freedom - but it was only during these limited times that he felt like a real human.

Hand in hand, Remus and Fiona descended the steps from the owlry. Remus wondered if Peter had been shipped off to the hospital yet, and decided to check on him. The night was wonderful as they crossed the courtyard. Remus was acutely conscious of Fiona's motions next to him. Ashamed as he was of not centering his thoughts on Peter, he couldn't help but think back to their kiss and wonder when it would happen again....

It was only when they were halfway across the courtyard did Remus notice the moon.

Dread froze him in his tracks. In all his anxiety for the ball, he had forgotten to take his potion. He stared in horror at Fiona, still pressed against him.

"Get away!" he choked in a fear that rapidly changed to feral enmity. His muscles spasmed and contracted. He arched his back in pain and dropped on all fours as shaggy fur rippled along his back. His dress robes tore and fell in tattered pieces around him. The wolf bridled, letting out a single howl that epitomized his rage and anguish. Through his slitted gold eyes he saw a young woman frozen in place before him.

Snarling in bestial rage, he attacked.

Lily was just about to go up to bed - when she spotted Remus.
"Remus!" she cried, a tone of horror hearable in her voice.
What was happening showed all the sighns of Remus being a werewolf. She as scared. Fiona had been standing with him...SHe had to do something. She tried to rememebr about werewolfs. Then she did the onlt hing she could think of.
She howled like a wolf. She only hoped it would work.

Remus halted his assault in midair. He twisted and landed on the grass, jerking his head about for the source of the howl. Another lone figure stood on the edge of the courtyard, howling. It was not a wolf. It dared to taunt him!

Surrendering to his feral alter-ego entirely, Remus abandoned his first prey and began slinking towards the girl. He was hungry - so woefully yet pleasantly hungry. And he hadn't tasted human flesh in a month.

Liliy was petrfied. She just stood there. And then she ran. She ran over t the gardens - and to the lake. She could see Remus - or the werewolf - only meters behind her. Ahe looked at him then the lake. She saw nno other option. Lily jumped into the lake and started swimming.

The wolf balked at the edge of the lake and stared across its dark expanse. He hesitated, contemplating his options.

No, no... what am I doing?

The wolf shook his shaggy fur out and cocked his head. His vermillion eyes glittered with bestial hunger in the moonlight. A single sliver of saliva dripped onto the grass as he eyed his quarry in longing. A single sinuous tentacle ended his debate as the giant squid reached up, groping for the ridiculous human.

Oh, no... Lily... what have I done?

Baring his yellow fangs for no other purpose than malicious glee, Remus tossed his head back and howled to the unfeeling stars. Then he bounded along the lake in search of easier prey.
