I liked a longbow better myself... I was never a fan of crossbows, prelude to guns...

I'd go for a long bow instead of a crossbow personally... they can be refired soo much faster than crossbows and they have a longer range. Although they aren't armor piercing. But Uruks would be stupid and break them.

Actually, book wise the uruks used longbows. It's a common misconception that orcs and uruks were stupid, just not that handy.
