Yes, I only became a fan after I watched the movies, not before. It sounds shameful to admit that, but after reading the books, I'll truthfully say that I like some parts in the books better than how they were portrayed in the movies. :bye2:

Yes, I also reread many certain parts over and over again. Mostly The Steward and the King in RotK, to be truthful. :bye2:

I have read it once and started to read it to my brother. But it's not going very fast because I don't live with my parents anymore and it ain't a easy book to read out loud.

My brother is 13..hehe...he doesn't like much books to read.
Accually it all started when we would go and see harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkhaban in the cinema within a week. I said he had to read it before seeing the movies, so I started reading it to him. Every spare second we read and we did it in 6 days  Than we read the 4th and 5th and than there was a big hole, so we started LOTR, because he loooves the movies but never read the books.

I remember being at school and the whole class reading Shakespear(sp?) and the teacher going over what we had just read. You must be a VERY patient person LG :-D I teach nursery kids and that takes a lot of patience lol, but i dunno if i could explain anything as detailed as LOTR to anyone lol ;-)

<3

ps. I'm not old just coz i teach lil kids lol....ppl instantly assume btw ;-) lol
