First and foremost, don't you dare blame, insult, or accuse Arwen in any way for something she clearly did not intentionally do.
Please realize that the Arwen and the Moderators are not here to make your time here as uncomfortable as ever. Seriously. We aren't. It might be hard for you to accept that, but it's the truth. Deal with it.
Let's look at a hypothetical situation.
Say we have a thread about Gollum/Smeagol in the Two Towers.
And let's say we have another thread about Eowyn/Derhelm in Return of the King.
In the thread about Gollum/Smeagol people start to say nasty things about other people that they know that act just like Smeagol. That is considered off-topic, and the Moderators are right to go ahead and PM the people who are leading the topic in the direction.
In the Eowyn/Dernhelm thread, they discuss on how maybe Eowyn's helmet was a lot different from all of the other Riders of Rohan and how they'd want a helmet like that and where if anyone could see where they could get a helmet designed as such. This is not considered off-topic. At least to the Moderator's view. It still discusses Eowyn/Dernhelm at a different angle.
However, in the Gollum/Smeagol thread they changed the direction of the conversation to a negative aspect, and that is a big no-no whether or not you're a Moderator.
If a Moderator has PM'd you about something you did against the rules or simply PM'd you with a reminder, do not read it as an authoritive figure wagging their finger at you. Look at is as a peer reminding you that what you did was unacceptable.
If you feel that a Moderator has definitely PM'd you in a sense that you did not like the attitude that you got from the PM, PM them back and share your feelings about how you were reprimanded, maybe you two can come to a mutual understanding. No harm.
Moderators are human too.
And as hard as this is to believe, so is Arwen.
Arwen is a normal human being who has family, friends, a life outside the internet and sometimes she doesn't have the spare time to check the forum and her site for any improvements that could be done.
But she does make the time. She does it because she's is one of the best people I know and I could not ask for a better Webmaster.
Apparently the whole issue is about post counts and ranks.
What's the big deal? There were members who suggested of the rank change, and we discussed it over a period of almost 4-5 months, but now that something has changed, we have members who dislike it and are insulting Arwen for that?
Why? Because they feel that their opinion didn't matter? Everyone had a chance to input what they felt about it in this forum and in the thread specifically about a rank after valahood. I'm sure if a big enough issue on what they felt were held more firmly, the Moderators and Arwen would have taken note of that and discussed it out even more thoroughly.
Why do post count matter? It was first created as just a FUN way to go about the forum and it just keeps track of how many posts you've made. Don't surround your time on the forum around post count.
It certainly can't be healthy.
Another thing, as Arsa mentioned.
This is Arwen's forum. Not the Moderator's, not the member's. It's Arwen's. She created the site, she made the forum, she made it look nice for you guys, she also spent some extra time making changes so it's better for you guys.
