Sweet. And if I may say so, Harry and Ginny... not a good couple. It bothers me.

I like both their characters, and they're similar in presonality, but it just doesn't seems right, if you know what I mean.

It just feels so wrong, I don't know why.

maybe cuz its Ron's younger sister it feels weird? I don't find it weird at all. I mean, if u'd told me they loved each other before I'd read the sixth book I wud feel the same. I just feel like now I've seen a whole new side of Ginny that makes them perfect together.

Exactly. Maybe it is the fact that Ginny is Ron's little sister. That would feel kind of weird to me too...

Well, I have finally caught up with all you Potterheads...read the books this summer.
So I thought I'd answer a few of Larael's questions, but I'm clueless as to some of them. I didn't read through all 5 pages, so sorry if I repeat answers others have said. These are my views -- from a very young and uneductated fan.
-Is Snape good or evil [where do his loyalties lie]?
I'm not exactly sure, but I think there's definitely hope that he's still with the Order. I think that Snape and Dumbledore must've had some kind of deal, I don't know. It just stood out to me as very, very un-Dumbledorish for him to plead like that. So my guess is that Snape told him about the unbreakable vow he made...?
-Is Dumbledore and Sirius really dead?
For Sirius, I can't tell. His death was too mysterious for me to be concrete sure he died...but then Lupin was convinced.
Dumbledore: Yeah, he definitely died. But I don't think he's going to stay that way. Has there ever been a character more similar to Gandalf? I mean, Dumbledore really is that Aslan/Gandalf/Christ character, so I'm more sure that he will come back to life.
-Which 2 characters do you think will die in Book 7?
Voldemort being number one, but as to the second I don't know.
-Which character do you think got the reprieve?
I'm thinking someone like Ron...?
-Do you think Harry will die?
I would be really surprised. JK's written some dark stuff, but an ending with Harry getting killed is just too dark.
-Do you think Voldemort was born evil to begin with?
Somewhat. I mean, he had a hard childhood, and he was not a nice kid, but he wasn't evil. I think it was more through his transformation that he truly became evil.
-What do you think the horcruxes from Gryffindor and Ravenclaw are?
I have no idea. That's all I can say.

On the topic of Harry and Ginny, I think one reason it feels wierd is because we don't really know Ginny. I mean, she's there, and it talks about her, but because she's younger we only really get to know her in the last 2 books.
But I think Ginny might die in the last book, so her distance from us would be a good thing.

okay, do I really have to say this?
in my opinion Harry is a horcrux, because in CoS Dumbledore said Voldemort put part of himself into Harry. then the other part comes up in OotP. Trenalwey's prediction said that "niether can die while the other survives" a big hint that if Harry, one of the horcruxes (I think he is. =p) is destroyed, Voldemort will be destroyed also.
Please note that this is just my opinion.

But doesn't Harry have to destroy the Horcruxes first and then kill Voldemort? That would mean killing himself first and then there would be nobody to kill Voldemort.
That idea makes me shiver. I just don't want Harry dying at the end!! Not that it's unrealistic or couldn't happen, though...
EDIT: I just realized, Voldemort wants and always wanted Harry dead -- I don't think he'd leave him lying around with part of his soul in it. And, as Dumbledore said, Voldemort only used objects as Horcruxes that were worthy...he probably wouldn't have considered Harry as this.

Welcome dearest Gwen, to the world of Harry Potter!! I'm glad you could join in the discussion. Anyhoo, there are some pretty good points people made here, so I'm just gonna take my time and respond to it all.
Gwenneth wrote: I mean, Dumbledore really is that Aslan/Gandalf/Christ character, so I'm more sure that he will come back to life. Ah Gwen, good parallel, but let us remember the words that Dumbledore spoke himself. "No spell can reawaken the dead" - his words are final. Nothing can fully bring the dead back to life. In the Harry Potter world resurrection is not something that can happen. Death is final. Plus, what would Dumbledore do if he became alive again? Harry was appointed this task alone, he alone can do it. Dumbledore would've had to leave him sooner or later, there would be no other way. NurrantielI mean, she's there, and it talks about her, but because she's younger we only really get to know her in the last 2 books. But I think Ginny might die in the last book, so her distance from us would be a good thing.[/quote]
A very, very good point that I've never heard mentioned before. It makes complete sense, because it's true, we really don't know much about Ginny, apart from what we've learned in the last two books. She's just another being whose there, most of us do not feel an emotional attachment to her. If JKR killed her off, it sure wouldn't cause much heartache. But heartache may be what she really wants. I think it could go both ways with Ginny's fate. We shall see...
[quote="Siah-kun wrote: in my opinion Harry is a horcrux, because in CoS Dumbledore said Voldemort put part of himself into Harry. then the other part comes up in OotP. To quote Trelawny, she actually states that "niether can live while the other survives", which just means that one must kill the other, it does not mean they both have to die.
Plus, in CoS Dumbledore did not mean that Voldemort actually gave a part of himself [as in part of his soul], but rather his abilities. That is why Harry is able to speak Parsletongue.
Another thing to remember is that Harry does not fit with the list of horcruxes described by Dumbledore in OOTP. All the horcruxes are known of except for the one from Gryffindor or Ravenclaw. Harry is not one on the list, and I trust Dumbledore to know what a horcrux is and isn't.
