Isobel took a deep breath and thought that she should really go back on deck, she was not here to lie around feeling anxious, but all she really wanted to do was bury her face in the bed's rather lumpy pillow and go to sleep so she didn't have to remember.

Instantly, her eyes flickered toward the ocean, and she stood there head angled for a moment, as if it was singing some wonderful melody to her.

Balancing at the very bow, Annalett kept her ears open to what was going on on the ship while she cleaned the pistol. Then noticed the Devina wasn't in the crows nest, and the captain said it was either her or Annalett that were to be up there. Sighing, Annalett put the pistol aside and climbed up the rope ladder to the crows nest. She saw why the girl had gone down. There were a few spots with bird droppings. Sighing she stood on the pole next to the nest, holding a rope to help keep balance. The air seemed fresher from that point...
